Eberle or Yakupov

Please present offers, in the form of one SINGLE defencemen (no adds) who is under the age of 28 and has at least 3 years of team control remaining.

And mention which of the two you want.

highly doubt any team would give up a D-Man good enough to make this trade fitting your criteria.

and Edmonton should just accept the move to Portland if they deal Eberle.

Why would Edmonton be moving Eberle? I kind of get Yakupov.. but Eberle? I just don't get it. He's probably not consistently as good as he was last year going forward, but he's a clutch scorer and you'd regret moving him once Edmonton finally makes the playoffs.

exactly because he has that kind of value.

we need an actual and major upgrade to the backend, not the scraps hemsky or gagner would acquire.

no one is going to post a single name that you'll agree to as enough for either player, that they're also willing to part with.

Your not gonna get one player straight up but I could see Cowen and maybe another peice with him, maybe but if you saw Cowen's rookie seasons was Ottawa's best defenseman some nights and Karlsson won the Norris that year.

More Oilers fans will agree to give up Eberle before Hall . Most also think Yakupov will be the best scorer of them . I could see us moving Eberle if we could fill a need . I do think if Eberle goes , Gagner should go and Hemsky should go to . Move Yakupov up with Hall and the Nuge and bring in a whole new second line that is big physical and can still score .

yes because HFBoards is awful and it's just a battle of who can homer and over value their players most.

but im being realistic... It would have to be a package in return.... maybe a couple D-Men.. or a good D-Man, prospect and pick. something like that.

teams just don't trade off their franchise D-Men which is what it would take for either.

well then in Nonis we trust.

I'm a huge Eberle fan and would love to see him in a Leafs jersey.

I just don't think Edmonton would be smart to move him.

The D is not the problem with the OIlers, and with what they have coming up, I'd rather see them trade Yakupov for a big C.

Eberle isn't going anywhere, loss a few games and some fans are willing to trade anything for a player they don't really need.

odds are if they're 1st pair Dman they are either huge building block (remember you also want < 28 and signed 3+ years)

or they're playing above their caliber and are really just top 4 defensemen.

Personally I would rather do Yak straight up for Edler... I feel like his ceiling is higher and it would be a cool story considering the Canucks were his favourite team growing up.

Nail playing with Kovalchuk would be sick. How about Larson?

I would not trade Eberle at all.

But hypothetically, the D that would be fair in a 1-1 swap would be along the lines of Myers, Carlson, Subban, OEL and MDZ.

Obviously not exactly even, but value wise going either way, thats what it would take.

I would certainly trade Yakupov for Carlson. Although I doubt Washington would be interested unless they somehow draft Jones.

The Habs will not trade Subban for either Eberle or Yakupov.
