Harry Zolnierczyk has been assigned to Adirondack, per @AnthonySan37. How does his NHL suspension affect him at The AHL level?

According to AHL by-laws, he will have to have his NHL suspension reviewed by the AHL president, who may deem him ineligible.

From the AHL: "(Zolnierczyk) has been ruled eligible effective today, should he be assigned." There you go.

Any implications?

The Gagne trade and Read getting healthy ahead of schedule make him expendable. The press box is already occupied by Knuble and Foster.

But he has to sit out two more games when called up, right?
Makes no sense unless they need the roster spot for somebody else....
