Why would the Flyers trade for a goalie?

Love it...all three assets aren't for trade right now from LA's perspective.

If we continue to suck, Bryz could get bought out.
I like him and don't think he's at fault for the way this Flyers team performs, but at some point you have to cut your costs and go in a different direction. Same with Coburn, although he truly has sucked this season.

They traded their first to Columbus in the Carter trade, I doubt they'd want their first pick of the draft to be in the third round.. So they'll probably value their 2nd a bit more than usual.

It's possible Lombardi trades it, but without a first this year -- yeah, the Kings probably want to hang on to that if they can.

I don't know what the OP is seeking to get in return (a top 4 defenseman? What?). But since the team is making good use of Martinez and Bernier right now, I wouldn't want to see them traded either.

so when Bernier went on the record requesting for a trade..it did mean he wasn't for trade?

You missed the "right now" part of what Rorschach had written.

None of these are available right now and I am not certain that A Mart would be available at all without an overpayment coming back to the Kings, not until we were 100% healthy anyway and even then....

Lately, he has been singing a more upbeat tune, since Quick is struggling and he is getting a good chunk of playing time, which is all he wants, is to play. The bottom line is that the Kings aren't going to deal him while there are questions in goal at the moment. Quick isn't 100%, and Bernier has been playing on fire. He will still retain trade value at the draft, and is a RFA. So there is no reason for the Kings to get rid of their 1B as they try to put together another good playoff run.

Thank for the clarification.

Are LA still confident in Quick for the next 10 years? Could he be tradeable?

I'd say they are still confident. There would be no way he is available. He is just coming off of back surgery and it is a weird season. No matter what, Quick is their guy, and Bernier will eventually be moved.

No big deal, an article on the subject: http://frozenroyalty.net/2013/01/16/...trade-request/

Quote:
Although it is conceivable that a deal involving Bernier could be made if a good backup netminder is coming back to the Kings in trade, Lombardi indicated that Bernier is not going anywhere for the time being.
“I don’t think that’s feasible at all right now,” he said. “He’s an important part of this team. Let’s face it. Our guys in the minors aren’t ready for that role, and that’s an important role.”

Do not need, will consider coordinating with you as third team partner for another club who needs a G, and see if we can match on returns to all.

Martinez
remain interested. What is your reasonable price?

2nd
Assume you meant that with the other pieces, are not looking at depth, two threes for a second?

OR

Give you Girardi for the package, keep AMart + the pick and on our own sell Bernier to highest bidder.

I am only interested in seeing which teams would be interested in a trade for these 3 pieces. Kings right now don't need really anything but I am interested what people woukd offer

Its a hypothetical question, just value, let people make offers, you don't need to harp the "omgz he's not available wtf'.

God no at trading Martinez. The guy is young and already a legitimate 2nd pairing PMD. Those are valuable assets, having someone of his talent playing on the 3rd line behind Doughty and Voynov allows the Kings to dominate teams for 60 minutes

I like Martinez a lot but next year we are going to have trade someone out muZzin dd44 or Martinez, and whoever stays will be a 7th guy most likely when green and Mitchell come back. I think muZzin can replace a mart and amart will get us more in a trade than dd44.

And for bernier I could see a trade at the draft. He deserves to have a shot as a #1 goalie

Muzzin becomes the 7th to end the year

Then you let Scuderi walk and go with

Doughty-Muzzin
Voynov-Mitchell
Martinez-Greene

Next year
