How much would a team need to give up to trade up for either of these prospects?

Easily Jones and personally, unless a cup is assured, which it couldn't be, I don't think I would trade him

The Oilers are not trading him , But Tamblowe may take a winger that is small and has skill instead . Please do not post his smiling face any more . He has done jack to make us better . There are idiots and then there Tamblowe

Hopefully Seth Jones will pull a Lindros and want to play for Dallas where he grew up.

He was also a Avalanche fan growing up

no kidding, how he has a job is beyond me. Does you fanbase still support this? because it's getting ridiculous that the Oilers are staring at another top 5 pick.

Which is bull crap IMO. A team should be caped at how many time they can pick in the top 5.

I read his dad is a coach for the Brooklyn Nets. So, I'm sure he wants to join the Isles at Barclay's. Be close to his folks

I know, as a Buffalo fan we have had a grand total of 2 top 10 picks in the last 20 years, highest being Vanek. We finally have a disastrous year and we need to fight with the never improving Oilers for their annual lottery pick, brutal

The should be chanting at the games fire Tamblowe . It is sicking , Our proud team has been ran into the ground . No balance to the Team what so ever . I mention a few times trading one of the kids for Grit and other fans got on me about it saying skill trumps Grit . Not when you have skill winger that get pushed off the puck like a school girl gets push off the swings . The kids look lost this year . They will soon be demanding trades if this keeps up .

He's a Dallas kid, and should play at home!

I'd give our 1st + Daley/Larsen + Ritchie and if they wanted a 2nd as well, I'd give 'em that too.

He's a rare defensive talent and he is from Dallas, Texas. Those players come around oh once every 100 years.

As supert said, try being a fan of the worst run franchise in NHL history. Then get back to us as to what is brutal.

The thing that makes me sick is some Oilers fans (obviously not you) saying how they hope to tank for 3 more years and get Jones, Ekblad, and McDavid. Any decent GM would have you guys in the playoffs right now.

It means nothing, but it's fun to pretend there's a link to Seth future.

I could only imagine, it's got to be extremely frustrating. I am hoping for the Sabres to get a top 3 pick this summer but whoever the GM is better damn well make them a playoff team next year, it's unacceptable being in the basement.

I know , But i guess they expect Hall, RNH , Eberle and who every Else they grab to stick around . Not likely . The team needs to be clean out Management first then all of the players expect for good d , not many of those , Hall and the Nuge and maybe one other winger .
My question to other Oilers fan do the really think we can afford 6 first overall picks in our line ups ...not a chance in hell

Agree . It is upsetting to see Ottawa misses the playoffs their Gm makes some changes and the make it the next year . Montreal last year and the are playing very well this year .
