I misread your post. But, who would you replace Boyes with? Anyone you think of would simply amount to an experiment. I am fine with experimenting, but the very nature of experimenting means you are trying to find someone better (not that you KNOW they are better). Boyes has produced. Sure, he has flaws. I am all for upgrading on him. I just don't know who would amount to an upgrade right now. Again, I like the idea of experimenting with Bailey, Martin, Grabner, etc. They may do better...or possibly not. Either way it is not as much of a no brainer to move Boyes off of JT's line.

If it is in the next two years it should come from outside the organization. It pretty much has to because I don't see a legit physical yet skilled plug in yet. Martin might grow into that... Nino is supposed to some day... Maybe one of the others... Maybe, maybe, maybe. Too many maybes for me. The smart GM trades for this piece, and it is a wing, not a center or defenseman. This IS doable. But we all know why they haven't yet. $$$
