I am all for upgrading on him. I just don't know who would amount to an upgrade right now. Again, I like the idea of experimenting with Bailey, Martin, Grabner, etc. They may do better...or possibly not. Either way it is not as much of a no brainer to move Boyes off of JT's line.

Grabner's game doesn't fit and Bailey would be the second best choice to Boyes, but his game just isn't all there. Okposo is a NO! Neilson has to center a checking line. Nope....no one fits. MAYBE.....try Ullstrom there if he has a good game.
If it is in the next two years it should come from outside the organization. It pretty much has to because I don't see a legit physical yet skilled plug in yet. Martin might grow into that... Nino is supposed to some day... Maybe one of the others... Maybe, maybe, maybe. Too many maybes for me. The smart GM trades for this piece, and it is a wing, not a center or defenseman. This IS doable. But we all know why they haven't yet. $$$

Isn't it painfully obvious how crap that first line is 5on5?

What genius decides to put the two worst defensive players with Tavares and continues to keep them together as they get beat more and more.

No accountability.

Why keep them together.

I am completely dumbfounded!
