I'm not sure. But they have had a good half season, they are probably the team we should start emulating.

And are we just going to not count us dressing Engelland every night for the last two seasons?

I don't think it's a coincidence that the tougher they got, the better their record has been.

Engelland weighs 200lbs. He shouldn't have to battle the Orr's, Scott's, Thorton's etc every game.

Not sure if it matters at all to you guys,

but it looks like Matt Frattin will play tonight - perhaps Liles too.

Cheers to a good one.

Cooke-Sutter-Kennedy
Glass-Jeffrey-Adams

Orpik-Martin

Well, they do have up-and-coming Nazem Kadri, who finally looks like the real deal. And Phil Kessel is a great player who needs to be insulated with some team toughness, for sure.

They have attitude, and McLaren and Orr give them a lot of it. Mark Fraser from the back end, too.

Toronto is disspelling the notion this year that you can't dress tough guys and win anymore in today's NHL.

Fun fact...McLaren (3) and Orr (3) are outscoring our fourth line so far this season: Adams (3), Vitale (2) and stained Glass (0).

So if we scratch Eaton tonight, it will prove that Disco CAN in fact scratch veterans (as long as they're playing well).

Why not keep Eaton in the lineup, scratch Glass, and have Engelland play more of an enforcer role tonight?

Kadri (who usually protects himself anyway), Kessel, Reimer (who keeps getting knocked over for some reason), JVR (to some extent) and Gardiner when he returns beg to differ.

Carlyle dresses 3 tough guys to be as dirty as possible without much of a backlash from other teams. It works against most, however Carolina and Boston seem to be immune to the whole ordeal. Sounds pathetic, i know, but hey it works so who am i to complain.

Anyway, good lucks guys, hoping for a clean game, an exciting game, and no injuries ! Oh and Pittsburgh to lose.

we're all big fans of Matt Frattin here. his stellar play and continued development dovetails nicely with our pining hopes for Kulemin.

1) I would have played Vokoun tonight and Fleury tomorrow. Vokoun plays better on the road. Fleury plays better at home. Plus Vokoun came off a great performance (lucky too) against the Flyers.

2) Vitale please? Or I'm going to be insufferable on these boards.

"The consistency in his game is really where he needs to improve,” Bylsma said. “But [Despres] didn't come out of the lineup because of inconsistent play. It was just a situation where we went with a more veteran lineup in Philadelphia. It's a tough building.”

Good Disco. Thanks for letting us know that you wanted to play your Vets. I think was happier thinking he had a problem with his fingernail.

Is it too much to ask to put Vitale in and take Glass out?

I predict every player with a "k" last name will score

Kadri, Kulemin, Kessel, Komarlov, Komisarek, Kostka- TOR
Kunitz, Kennedy, Kooke, Krosby, MalKin, NisKanen, OrpiK, and of course VoKoun.

Some coaching decisions from Bylsma are just strange. What does Glass bring to the table and Vitale doesn't?

The Glass Joe Adams line is a weakness .

Mainly due to Glass.

Pens have Crosby and Malkin that is still a limiting factor to taking runs at them and giving PP opportunities in the playoffs. But the playoffs are different and teams will do what they need to advance. Philly had no problem targeting them. If Bylsma tells McIntyre to go out and beat the crap out of Gerioux, then the series may be a little less helter skelter. I am a big believer in the concept of MAD and the Pens have a history of allowing teams to take liberties. Glass simply doesn't intimidate anyone and neither does Adams. Vitale needs to play with his energy and go get a tough forth line hard a**.

The ability to take crappy Delay of Game penalties when we're already on the PK.
