Also can somehow tell me how Frattin was injured? I don't recall it all, was it during a game? I just remember worrying about Reimer then the news broke out that Frattin needed surgery, felt like it came out of nowhere.
Frattin wasn't exactly injured. He was suffering some after effects of his summer knee surgery and they needed to go in and clean some things up.

Is it confirmed that Liles is in tonight for Kostka?
Also, based on the Ice chips, I really think it would be brutal if komarov came out

Dear Reimer,

I love you but please stay in net. Do not play the puck.

To be fair I remember he didn't last very long in his first full-practice but there was an interview not to long ago where he said he was very close to returning. I guess it just isn't fully healed yet.

Stealing a game or two against the top tier teams can go a ways. Also helps the teams confidence if they know they can knock down the big boys.

I agree it would be nice to win, but I just hate the hype saying that the Leafs have to win the game, as if their season depended on it.

We can win if Phaneuf plays like he did last time we faced Pitts.

He has to shutdown Crosby+Malkin, pretty much defenseman's nightmare. Holzer has to step up, and not have the mental breakdowns he has had in the last 2 games.

We need to shoot the puck more and drive the net. Fluery is shaky, we need to get into his head

I think it also has to do with regaining strength in that area. They were talking about on Leafs TV that he was still shooting the puck gingerly during his skate this morning. He is probably 10-14 days away.

No I like Kadri with Frattin and Bozak is better for Kessel because he is a bit more responsible defensively.

Leafs have had 94 PP's (some of them have been 10 second PP's) and have been shorthanded for 84 times.

+10.

I agree with leaving Kadri with Frattin for now, but we have to find someone better for Kessel than Bozak. 14 points int 25 games while getting top ice time is not going to cut it. I don't care how good he is at faceoffs.

Ya pretty much agreed.

14 points only after playing with our best wingers and getting most playing time is unacceptable

You don't want Kadri against the top pairs though.

Especially with Frattin back.

All in due to time for Kadri to be the top man, it's slow and steady that wins the race.

Kadri riding 7-game point steak, and Crosby a 6.

We are 12th in PP minus PK minutes.
http://www.nhl.com/ice/teamstats.htm...enaltyKillTime

If you are referring to PP minus PK opportunities, we have had 15 more PP (94) opportunities than PK(79). Couldn't find ranking on these though.

I am pretty sure Habs are #1 in these categories though. Nothing denying that they've had refs advantage.

A win today against the favoured Pens would be huge.

Also a bounce back game to boot to get a new winning streak started.
