His faceoffs are overshadowed by his ridiculous penalties and fights though. Yes, the Wild's PK is really good. But they probably shouldn't be trying to test as often as they do with Konopka on the ice.

Granlund or even Brodziak centering that line makes it into a somewhat decent scoring threat. It would be really awesome if Yeo would consider throwing lines like Chicago, where all 4 lines can score.

Especially with Granlund's improved play imo. Completely agree with you.

Oh my looking our lines this will be the ultimate grinding game. Our 2nd line might be in some trouble but i believe our 1st line will bring this game to us.

Count me in. I'm one of those who doesn't understand Yeo's scratch fest. If Granlund isn't good enough, Houston is the place. If he is, he should play. He's a rookie.

If Granlund and PMB are scratched tonight, we can probably expect either someone getting sent down to Houston or PMB being traded, right?

I wouldn't go that far, but I'll admit that his stupid penalties don't exactly help the team. Otherwise he fills his role just fine, though IMO.

That is what I don't get, Nashville is angry at Suter, but Webber signed an offer sheet with the Flyers. Some of them have said that they were ok with it because Weber wanted to get paid before the new CBA and that he wouldn't have signed it unless he didn't want to stay in Nashville. Well one could look at that and say he wanted out of Nashville or didn't care about anything but getting paid.

I honestly don't believe Weber truly wanted Nashville. You don't take a chance like that if you are extremely dedicated. He boxed Nashville into a corner and I believe he really wanted Philly. He figured he would either get to play where he ultimately wanted if given the choice (Philly) or he would stay in Nashville and get a huge payday. That does not show dedication to me at all. He forced Nashville to make the decision. He ended up getting paid tons of guaranteed money but I believe this was not his first choice as far as where he wanted to play. It comes across as, "I don't really want to be here but if I have to be, you will pay me a ton, thanks."

Thus, I think what Weber pulled is far worse than Suter but since Weber is there and Suter is not, Suter will look worse.

Yup. If Ryan is $uter, I don't understand why Weber isn't $hea. 98 mil against 110 mil.

But I can't accuse Preds fans. It was one ugly and painful offseason for them. They need to blow off steam somehow.

I'm not on the fire board yet, but I'd like to know his reasoning behind what he's been doing with Granlund. I can't believe that CF would be alright with this happening without some sort of good reasoning behind it...and while Yeo makes the final decison, CF controls Yeo's job.

Our first line needs to show up this game. It wouldn't hurt to get ****ing Coyle off that line... Just. Not. Ready...

I'ld still like to see Seto get a shot up there. One of the only players who's really been trying (weird right) for a while now, and he would skate well with Parise and balance out Koivu's speed a little better.

Don't want to break up the "speed" line? fine, stick Mitchell on it. He can cycle as well as either of the other two and won't drag it down. Don't want to drag down the "speed" line, but willing to drag down the "top" line....ok....

What is Yeo's obsession with Coyle? Why does he get that first line and Granlund doesn't get a shot even when he's playing, being on the 3rd and 4th lines?

I don't understand.

For whatever reason, Yeo/CF/whoever is completely obessed with Granlund playing C. I agree that he should be getting the majority of his starts there, because that's what he's going to be on this team. But if they switched him to wing, there's no way he'd be a HS so much

He just wants Granlund to be a centerman and propably thinks he's doing a good decision for the Wild in a long term. I disagree, I would've liked to see Granlund playing wing for a long time now.

Also, if this is some kind of a punishment from the last game (-3), it's just ********. Granlund has improved a lot lately and was among the best Wild forwards even in that game against Chicago.

I know, it's ridiculous. I really can't understand these lineup decisions. Granlund needs to play, whether in AHL or NHL. Can't adapt from the pressbox, unless you need someone to adapt into Dr. Shames Jeppard 2.0, the lord of popcorn.

I understand that they want him playing C, but I think the priority for now should be to get him to adapt to the NHL and improve his point production. Even if he doesn't play C at this point, it doesn't mean he'll never play C.

He played wing in SM-liiga at first, but was eventually moved to the middle and after some adjusting he played very well. In the national team he still plays wing and will probably stay there for some time, but I think in the long term they'd want him to play #2 C. I don't understand why Yeo and Fletcher find it so difficult to do something that's worked with Granlund before. This kind of stubbornness is stupid. If they're this insistent on having him play C, send him to Houston to do that and not have him 'develop' in the press box.

Because he's a big body and a right handed shot, duh

Let's not get into the fact, that he really has done nothing up there, yet continues to just be given that spot, while other players are getting juggled constantly... Makes no sense...
