Do the isles really need a smallish, struggling pmd, who's got 3 yrs/$12m left on his deal?

I'd think there would be better options on the market this summer. Cheaper d-men, who won't be signed for so many yrs and who won't block the path of the isles young pmds Donovan, De Haan, Kitchon, Ness.

I think Gunnerson / Liles are available from the Leafs. Both of them have Detroit or New Jersey written all over them. NJ / Det who always puts premium in puck handling maybe interested
Liles does have a long term contract, but some teams would have had to pay that to attract free agents anyways.
I don't know why the Oilers wouldn't be knocking for Gunnersons' services. Maybe a low level prospect along with 2nd round

Ryan Clowe: His performance of lack of there of will diminish his trade value. I don't see him being part of the Sharks long term plan. Destination: Boston Bruins. B's love players with a bit of an edge, does provide size and toughness. Second option: Pittsburgh. He'll fit in nicely with Crosby. Mid range prospect with 2nd and 3rd rounds

Clarkson: I read somewhere ( NJ Fans please confirm / deny this) that he wants to be near home close to his children. Destination: Toronto for being home. However, if he does get traded, I can see going to Detroit or B's. . May fetch a first and a prospect

Those are my takes. Yours?

Not interested to the 1st bolded...we have 8 NHL D on the roster...no need for more

Second bold is too much conducive to Clarksons success lays here in NJ, if he moves I expect the production to drop off big time

No. You take Stoll and everything related to him and we erase him from our history books.

You think the Kings would help the Canucks without making you overpay? Get real.

Let me ask another question, Stoll has been averaging 40+ points a season until last season, but he is not alone most of the kings players were having problems producing (Except in the playoffs) since Sutter came in.
Do you guys think it's the system or the player?

Loved him during his brief stint as a Shark. No room in the Inn, nor need for him now.

Vis-I'd like to see him re-sign. Could to be moved at the trade deadline .

Streit-in extension talks. I'll be surprised if he's moved.

Boyes-putting up pts next to Tavares. Signed the 1 yr deal so he could rebuild his rep and impress gms. Could to be moved at the trade deadline .

Nabby- his agent indicated Nabby's open to signing an extension, but it sounds like he'd like a multi yr extension. I'm not sure Snow signs 37 yr old Nabby to a 2 yr deal.
Could be moved at the trade deadline .

Reasoner- most expected he'd be traded or waived weeks ago, based on a Staples comment. Now Staples is reporting, the isles are holding onto him for his faceoff ability. Could be moved at the trade deadline.
Nuck might look at Visnovsky if the price is decent.

I wouldn't be so quick to put Clarkson in this group, he is a core player on the Devils. He is at the peak of his game right now it looks like, he seems like a guy that the Devils will go out of their way to retain.

From what the press is reporting, there's a lack of quality d-men available.

I expect Snow will get better then a 'decent price' for Vis.

For free, WTF? Obviously you hate Penner and Stoll so much, that you don't watch Kings-games anymore? Both have played lately very well. There no reason to trade these guys.

I think Latendresse is a good project for Vignault. Gonchar might be useful, too, for a playoff run.

Vancouver has no spares. None. No point in talking trade.

There are a host of players that should be available from the Oilers;
Jones, N.Schultz, Hemsky, Gagner, Smyth. etc.
All could be had for picks and or prospects

Donovan has impressed no one which is why he is still in Bridgeport.

De Haan looks better in training camp then in the minors and his stats are very dissaointing especially for a high pick.

Ness looks like a career AHL er.

Kitchon isnt even signed yet.

Pedan and Mayfield are several years away.

Stoll got bumped down with the addition of Richards. Of course his points were going to take a hit. He's still money on the faceoffs but has a tendency to take penalties in the offensive zone. I can't fault the guy because he's tenacious. Put him on a team lacking a #2 center and his points will jump up again.
