Gryba takes a dumb penalty and Subban makes it 3-1.

Lundqvist FA in 2 yrs, no goalie prospects in pipeline.

Where will he sign but NY? Nowhere. Worry about it when he's going to retire not hit free agency.

True, but you also have to consider the durability and ability of an aging butterfly goaltender. Very unpredictable. If he has some knee issues, our season is automatically finished. He is also getting less and less starts each yr by management, not a good sign.

I don't follow... That has nothing to do with his ability. It's because we have a very capable back-up in Biron. If we can have Hank as fresh as possible for the playoffs, why wouldn't we? His starts have only decreased because his back-up went from Valiquette to Biron. Team trusts Biron in net to win games.

I was clamoring for him last year for a 2nd rounder. He was by all means a top, skilled NHL prospect that had produced in NA Pro ice.

I also wanted to trade our 1rst for Voynov.

The NYR have once again a team of high priced underperforming stiffs ( Richards Gaborik ) and a bottom six comprised of ham handed plugs .
Recipe for disaster .

Richards and gaborik haven't even been playing that bad, at least recently. The entire team sucked against buffalo aside from lundqvist. Most noteably the Defense wwas struggling hardcore.

He has only played a tiny bit in the SEL. Let's give him a bit more time before we consider him even a mediocre prospect.

Can't single out anyone against Buffalo. That was just an entire team failure. Outside of Stepan and Hank (in the 1st period), no one played particularly well.

Ouch. Losing Weiss for nothing in July is going to be the worst part of it I think.
