Buffalo/Montreal

Luke Adam for Louis Leblanc...mostly a change of scenery deal, to see if each player can get back on track with a new team

Not a fan of Adam. Fair value though.

Might work for both players as I feel Leblanc will not get a real chance in MTL. He just missed his window last year and simply has no allies in the management as practically eveyone is new.

I'm kinda not sure how Adam develops at this point -- can he realistically be anything else than a 4th liner if he plays C? His wing spot is LW, right?

I think this is a deal the Habs can only lose, even the value is quite fair.

I'm not sure Leblanc needs a change of scenery. He needs to get completely healthy though.

Yea, we'll give a 1st round prospect for an AHL player.

Would you trade PK Subban for Ty Wishart?

Sabres say yes; Habs could probably do better...

I'd do it for sure. Not sure the Habs do. I remember when Leblanc was drafted at the Bell Centre and the place exploded. I don't think they're ready to give up on Leblanc yet like the Sabres might be with Adam but I'd do it as a Sabres fan.

Pretty much this. I can't see us giving up on Leblanc without an angry french fan/media reaction. He'll boom or bust with us. Pretty sure he'll get his chance sometime.

My thoughts exactly, more so when you factor in the media circus of last season. I cannot imagine management wants to risk listening to their whining all over again. A bit unfortunate for Leblanc because his status puts unwarranted pressure on him.

As a habs fan I wouldn't do it .. Only reason is that Leblanc as more upside and is younger the Adam .. Not big reason but I would wait before trading Leblanc !! I wouldn't be mad if they do Adam vs Leblanc but I wouldn't think it a good trade for mtl

It's not the time to trade Leblanc. His year got derailed, ok, but he'll have another shot next year. No need to sell low. He's waiver exempt for next year (unlike Adam), and the whole Bulldogs outfit should be in better shape after all the rookies and growing pains this year. It should be a good environment for him to step up in.

Awful trade for Montreal.

Leblanc had a shoulder surgery in summer 2011 and a big ankle injury last fall... he's still not 100% physically and mentally. Give him some time and he'll bounce back, he has a good work ethic and also a good skillset. He still as the potential to be a second line center or a really good 3rd line center.

I doubt his future is at center, I see more of a 2nd/3rd line tweener right winger with strong two-way play.

Add a pick to Adam and we do it. Leblanc has been passed up on the depth chart and will continue to get passed up.
