Eurovision Song Contest 2013

They went with frakking Cascada :

The official video:

Not really my cup of music but I can appreciate a catchy song. Sounds rather similar to last year's winner though(I know, written by the same person)...

Songs on Eurosong should only be sung in their native tongues. It not only cheapens the song, but the artist, countries, and competition, when parts, or, the entire song is in English

I hate it. How can it be a best representation of the country when it isn't even in French, German, Dutch, Swedish, etc?

Eurovision has always been a fun joke, but it has gotten worse over the last few years because of how the voting is done

Who cares? The only appeal of the thing is to laugh at all the Eurotrash.

Yeah, everyone always votes for their neighbors. Well, Germany gives 12 points to Turkey because of all the Turkish immigrants there.

Well there you go, I never knew she was German. I also never knew that she wasn't called Cascada.

Tomorrow we'll see the final.
9 former Soviet republics, 5 Nordic countries are qualified and no Turkey and post-Yugoslavia.
IMHO, Cascada won't be the winner this year, considering the regional voting and the fact that there are some other strong contenders like Denmark.

Yup, I can see Denmark and Germany as top contenders now.

Also I can't believe the woman who sang about being Nobody's Wife is doing stuff like this:

Some people seem to think Finland won't finish with zero points this year:

Turkey boycotting the show and not airing it on tv due to the kiss at the end of Finland's performance.

My ears bleed. Looking at the clips in this thread, the songs are about the same like last year, or the year before...

They sure showed everybody what's what.

Eh, hopefully a country that has not had success in a long time wins it with a decent song. Would be nice if the Finnish singer also gets into the top-10 at least.
