I was rushing home to watch this game, but every time I got a mobile notification, it was for an Oilers goal. After the third I turned off notifications and I'm not even going to bother watching the game.
That said, it's nice to have the bank of points we do so we can absorb some of this. When we lost the 1st won, I told myself it was going to be 3-4 in a row coming up. This was going to be such a big let down..and I anticipate everyone mopin' the **** around for a few games.
Regardless of how man in a row we went prior to these last two games, there's NO excuse for playing like this. ZERO. A couple more clunkers like this, and we'll be in Anaheim's rearview mirror.
Yes, it is on the coaches. The Hawks were completely unprepared for the start of thsi game. That goes into preperation, which is a coaches responsibility. Have you ever played hockey at any level?
The effort just isn't there. That much is obvious. Getting beat to pucks after they are winning faceoffs....failing to clear the puck out of the zone when they have hte chance.....leaving guys wide open....giving up multiple odd-man rushes. That's not all on the coaches. Players have to show up.
Look, Konroyd illustrating it right here. Hawks are just not moving their feet and playing hard tonight. Tough for coaches to do a lot about it.
Amazing we have useless plugs like Mayers and Bollig instead of Morin or Hayes
No ****. We suffer injuriers to goal scorers, and instead of giving any of the kids in Rockford a cup coffee, we insert Mayers and bring up a worthless **** like Bollig. Love the thinking behind that one. Clearly the answer.
