I sort of get the feeling that the fourth line minutes are all there to prepare him, because come the trade deadline, I believe Cullen will be gone and Granlund will contend to take over.

Like I said in the Granlund thread, once Cullen is gone, all the Granlund mess should be solved/over.

No idea what to think is going to happen tonight. All I know is we need to come out with some jump tonight instead of our usual 1st period sleepwalking session. If we can do that I think I like our chances. Otherwise I don't think a 20-40 minute effort is going to cut it against these knuckleheads.

Also: ordered pizza with scheduled delivery time of 6:45.

Yeah I get that, I'm just sentimental which doesn't really help things.

Did they win the last time I ordered pizza? We should keep track of some of these things.... record when I order pizza, record when some of our guys attend games in person... other oddities like that.

And it is not like the Canucks have put on that many barn burners this season.

All the wins that I've watched on demand have been wins. I think it's a win if they win.

The Wild Win If...

1. They keep things boring. Knowing the Canucks are just dying for one of those breakout games on offence, the Wild will want to limit chances as much as possible by clogging up the neutral zone and making Vancouver fight for every inch of ice they're going to get.
2. They generate some offence playing 5-on-5. As much as the Wild won't want to push things on offence, they still need to show they're a threat playing 5-on-5. Minnesota has yet to score an even-strength goal in the season series which doesn't bode well for them in this game considering 5-on-5 play is just about the only thing the Canucks have going for them in the last little while.
3. They get some early success. The Wild might be able to get a not-so-confident Canucks team to start doubting themselves if they can get off to a quick start which includes getting on the scoreboard first – something they haven't done yet in the season series. This season, Minnesota is 7-3-0 when scoring first but just 5-6-2 when they give up the first goal.

Wild are 2-0 in the games I've gone to so far this season. Hoping to keep the streak alive tonight.

I'd much rather trade Bouchard than Cullen. If we could get anyone to take him that is. Also, doesn't Cullen have a no-trade?

Hopefully WILDhockeyfan's winning streak will bust Dampland's losing streak!

Yes but that doesn't mean he wouldn't waive it for a playoff team that would likely go far in the playoffs this season.

Trading Pierre-Marc wouldn't solve the Granlund situation though.

Trading Cullen, on the other hand...

Maybe, but who's to say that team isn't the Wild? If we were going to move someone now, move PMB,and move Cully at the deadline if we are out or a low seed if he wants another Cup shot.

If teams were interested in PMB, I'd expect him to be gone sometime within the next week. Things aren't working out and he isn't too happy about being scratched (and probably even less happy after being scratched two games in row). But I really doubt it's going to happen.
