Puck-handlers tend to leave themselves open to get hit. I remember in his first look with the Habs, Pacioretty was often getting drilled into the boards. He worked on that and fixed it. Galchenyuk will likely fix it too.

Why do we give Gorges PP time over Emelin?

If they dont score here for White he has gotta ask why he always needs to do that for? They certainly allow goals when he made a mistake, now score for the guy.

For those wondering why Gorges is on the PP, it's simple. MT is trying to play more of the other trios and pairings in order for the guys not to be too tired in the 2nd.

"Killer" period is upon us. Can the boys continue playing like they did in the first? No let up, leave it all on the ice!

Yeah, most likely. Since the first few games where he was playing with a lot of energy, he's seemed very subdued for awhile now. I think he's really trying to work out the habits in his game that don't translate from the OHL. He's definitely shown he can handle the NHL game, but now he needs to figure out what will make him successful. I'm expecting him to really step it up sometime in the latter half of next season, but for now I see him really working on the kinks and playing it simple.

I'm finding both him and Eller really need to work on controlling their passes. I see them whipping them at everyone but no one being able to handle them, so I think they have to learn to work with what they have.

And a comment on that horribad powerplay effort: we're doing a terrible job at line-changing so far.
