Lacy had benefit with great linemen in front of him at Alabama. You have to wonder how well he runs if he has mediocre linemen. I think he's second rounder at best.

Steelers reportedly are in fact interested in Beanie Wells. ESPN reporting it.

So they're looking at a guy that's always injured?

Another great move by the Steelers....

Steelers scouring the market for cheap LB depth too. Former Eagles and Colts LB Moise Fokou scheduled to visit.

If Beanie signed here, it'll make Big's day.

I think it's really going to bite them in the ass this season.

Well, the lack of quality drafting recently is what has been biting them. We all knew we would be in a tough spot with the cap when we were keeping all of our top players, it was only a matter of time. Problem is now, we don't really have the guys to replace those we needed to cut.

Asomugha sure fell off didn't he. That was quick. And that is a reason the steelers refuse to go after big free agents. Too much of a risk.

I wouldn't be opposed to it this year or next though considering what I said above...drafting has been poor.

He did have a great line, but he's also a pretty good talent himself. Like I said I wouldn't take him at 17 but I would around 30 or later.

I am a huge Ohio State fan and a part-time Cards fan (I rock a red Fitzgerald jersey lol) and I do NOT want Wells. He hasn't lived up to his talent and like Shockmaster said he's always hurt. I'd much rather draft Montee Ball with our 2nd pick than sign him.

Steelers aren't only team in division losing key players. Ravens are losing key players too. Ellerbe just signed with Miami.

Ray Lewis retires, Anquan Boldin traded for a 6th round pick, Kruger and Ellerby leave.

Wow.

Another big problem with the Steelers is that they bench guys on the defensive side of the ball for 3 years because the scheme is "too complex." So why do other teams' young defensive players make an impact in their first years?

This team needs a change in philosophy bad. Steeler football is just stupid football nowadays. Time to leave 1973 behind and come into 2013.

They may lose Reed and Williams.

Cincy is starting look like a favorite to win our division.

So that's Boldin, Krueger, Ellerbe, and Ray Lewis so far? That's a heck of a start to the offseason!

Hopefully Reed leaves them too

There are a lot of quality guys out there. I'm happy about plax, and wells wouldn't be as bad as some of you are crying it would be.

Would love Jackson, or one of the decent cb's out there.

I guess Flacco really did keep all the money for himself.

Ravens should thank God they got that one Super Bowl win while they still had that group together.

Bengals QB Bruce Gradkowski scheduled to visit the Steelers on Wednesday. Steelers looking for another backup.

He's a guy I mentioned during the season when we were discussing needing new backups.

Read on the football board that Wallace is going to be the 3rd highest paid QB in the league. Wow! Good for him, sorry for the Dolphins. He's good, but not that good.

I'm ok with Bruce being the backup here. Is Batch retired, or is he gonna be the 3rd stringer?

Gradkowski is a local kid too and had some success in a backup role. I could see him becoming the next Charlie Batch here.

I'm guessing the Steelers are moving on from Leftwhich since he's UFA and can't stay healthy at all.
