Jordan was on the cover of SI more than any other athlete in history. How'd that curse work on him?

I haven't bought a magazine in 5+ years, but I'll be picking that one up.

I got that bad boy signed by Toews after a practice.

They also came out with another one after they won the Cup. Needless to say, I'll be picking up the new one.

NHL needed a feel good story after the strike debacle. Blackhawks delivered it big time. Assists to SA Smith and LeBron.

Quote:
The NHL didn't need the Blackhawks and their streak to “bring it back.” They needed a compelling story to shift the national discussion from the league being a laughingstock for having lockouts seven years apart. The league got that, and while hockey fans were more than willing to welcome the NHL back with open arms, maybe more people have a reason to either come back or peek in for the first time.

Eh, the gritty Canadian scored the goal.. and he's missing chiplets.

Don Cherry 1, Sweden 0.5.

You know what though? I'm almost 100% sure that most of the country got Steven Stasbourg on the cover, and not the Hawks.

Edit: just looked it up- June 21,2010- Strasbourg was on the cover and Hawks story was one of three small headlines at the top.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the Hawks on the cover was just for regional issues of SI.

True, I was living in Toronto at the time and got this cover.

I had to order the other issue and then framed that one and the commemorative issue they released.
