It's been a real rough stretch of games. Now it starts spacing out and these guys will get some much needed rest.

This pretty much sums up that u rather have a great PK then a great PP. Time for the Morin and Hayes boys to get called up. Waive Mayers and give Monty a rehab stint in the AHL.

It's my fault guys, I missed the entire 1st period. As far as I'm concerned, it was 5-2 Hawks, what a great game!

I didn't see the game, but before anyone says faceoffs, Andrew Shaw was the only player under 50% at the dot tonight.

Outhustled in the 1st, outworked on special teams, etc.

They deserved to lose tonight.

Seabrook in particular looked like he had money on Edmonton with all his turnovers and standing around.

Well, if they didn't know it before, they sure as hell know it now. They aren't invincable and if they don't play the right way, they're going to get exposed and give up goals. Two awful defensive games in a row against two awful teams.

These days off need to be used to review tape of how to play hockey, the right way. They seemed to have forgotten over the past 2 games.

Confused why that is. I thought if you left trailing and they never tie the game, then you're still the goalie of record like how it is for pitchers.

Kane was a man possessed in 2nd and 3rd period

The last game and 1st period of this was the losing streak . . . They just have to keep the streak of the 2nd and 3rd period going forward. Can't believe they didn't tie it up in the 3rd. Some of the sickest pressure Ive ever seen.

I think it's the losing goal that counts in hockey. The 6th goal given up to Edmonton was the decider, and Crawford gave it up. Either way, both goalies were bad and both deserved L's as far as I'm concerned.

Oilers are the Hawks kryptonite it seems, rather it be some bottom feeder that they won't face in the playoffs. Hats off to the boys for making it a game, the refs weren't helping one bit either, but they shouldn't have dug themselves in such a hole in the first place.

I can only imagine that the team was running on fumes both physically and mentally. The three day rest couldn't have come at a better time. Relax and reflect over the amazing run they've had, get away from hockey a little and then get back to work and build off that incredible streak.

There was only 1 bad goal given up. That was on the team, not the goalies. Although, like I said, I have no idea why Emery was starting over Crawford and he goes on to give up a terrible goal to open the game - and I'm an Emery supporter.

Oilers fan here.

Hossa is an absolute monster. I really wish we had him.

You'll no doubt school the Blue Jackets when you play them.

Also tie both goalies up to posts and shoot pucks at them Mighty Duck style

And make sure it isn't our defense firing those shots because none would go on net

Great comeback by the Hawks, but this game probably wouldn't have been close if Dubnyk doesn't make that bone-headed play coming out of his net. Momentum completely shifted after that.
