2013 Minnesota #3 Prospect

Charlie Coyle moves up a spot from last year to be the second-best Minnesota Wild prospect. The 21 year-old American crushed the field after receiving 62.37% of the vote.

2013 HF Wild Prospect Rankings:
1. Mikael Granlund
2. Charlie Coyle

Nino Niederreiter was next with 16.13% and it appears that the battle for third will be between him, Mathew Dumba and Jason Zucker. New guy this round is Nebraska-Omaha sophomore (and Eden Prairie Native!!!!) Nick Seeler.

As always, polls are open for 2 days.

Z-man

He's succeeded at every level and he will continue to do so in the NHL.

Zucker. Better in the AHL than Nino, plus we actually have some NHL games to judge him on. 30/30 ceiling, probably similar to Nino's, but I'll go with what is familiar at this point.

Probably Nino next, then Dumba.

Zucker again. Then Dumba, then Nino. That is a killer top 5 prospect pool.

Can go either way on this one. Really like Zucker's speed, shot, and clutch scoring but still very high on Nino and think his offensive ceiling is higher.

Dumba because he's the only player here with potential top-line/pairing skills. No way Nino should be higher. Similar draft position + two more years of disappointing play = lower rank.

Zucker until proven otherwise. As I've said before, I'm not sold on Nino until I see him play. I want to see what he can do before I place him ahead of guys like Zucker, Coyle, etc.

In a few years, hockey fans will describe PK Subban as a "poor man's" Matt Dumba.

I got Dumba just barely over Zucker and Nino. Zucker seemed to take a little beating towards the end of the season, I want to see how he improves in that area. I haven't really seen enough of El Nino to really form an opinion. I'm really hoping he turns out to be as good as some are advertising, but there is a possibility that he could be a James Sheppard-type bust.

I think Zucker and Nino will be battling for that 2nd line LW position during training camp. Looking forward to that.

Great comparison. I think it will be the other way around, but the similar style of play is there. This is the exact reason I voted Dumba.

I consider Dumba our most under-rated prospect. He is my choice here.

If only he was named Matt Smarta.

Dumba is my choice here, too. He'll be the monster I hope.
Nino was very effective in WC aswell. Cant wait to see him in The Show next season

Zucker looked dangerous against the stanley cup winners... more than I can say for a lot of our players (at the time).

Voted for Zucker. Dumba is next at four, then Nino at 5. After that we've got a pretty decent sized drop in quality.

I think Gunnarsson should be considered higher. He improved a lot and is already a veteran in SEL.
