Patterson is slipping and could easily fall to the second round. That guy scares the hell out of me and I really don't want the Vikings to take him. He's not smart and doesn't know how to run routes. He's very raw and he'll be a project which is not what you want with a first round pick. The guy definitely has the ability to be the top receiver in the draft but he'll need to be put in the right scenario and get some really good coaching.

My ideal 1st/2nd round:

#23: Sly Williams

#25: Rhodes/Hayden/Trufant

2nd Round: trade up, if necessary, take Woods/Hunter

I'd be cool with this.

I like this also wouldn't be unhappy with a LB @23

Only problem is, Vikes need a starting middle linebacker and badly. The drop off after the top 3 is scary.

I'm more of the PA/TP mindset about the LB position. I think you can find a starting LB in middle rounds easier than a CB.

I will say, if a guy like Ogletree or Minter would drop to the mid-second round, one of them could be a better option than the WRs, and then take the best WR available in the 3rd round.

Same with wide receivers. We have a good couple of CB (if Cook stays healthy). We need a nickle back and I don't know if we want to spend a high draft pick on that.

But I've seen comparisons between Te'o and a guy like Ryan or Laurinaitis

Robinson is the nickel. We still need a guy opposite of Cook.

I think Te'o goes to Chicago.

Think Audi Cole could be a starter? I honestly don't know anything about him other than his awesome ten minutes of football last preseason.

.
Khaseem Greene is going to be an absolute stud. Would be great value for the Vikes in round 2.

Isn't Jefferson the nickel?

Not in an ideal world.

Cook
Rhodes/Trufant/Hayden
Robinson
Jefferson

Respectable.

I'm not a draft expert at all but the Lions taking a Defensive End who had less than 5 sacks in college 5th overall is the most Detroit pick ever.

#Vikings' pick is 13 slots away but the top 4 DTs and all the LBs still are on the board. This is going to be interesting.
We're now 11 spots and it's the same deal, I'm pretty sure. Looking good for us.

Kind of reminds of when NFL teams were slobbering over Jake Locker, really unimpressive college numbers but the pure physical skills were so off the charts that they didn't care.

A little bit different with Ansah because he really only started about 8 games or so in college where is Locker had 4 years of evidence that he really couldn't accurately throw a football but yet no one cared.

EJ Manuel to Buffalo is the first QB taken.

Every mock draft should be mocked.
