Bron Bron can have a game.

But this isn't close. Dennis Rodman would make Chris Bosh cry.

LeBron is the best player of all time. He would eat up smaller guys like Pippen, Rodman and Jordan for breakfast imo. Bigger faster stronger.

Sadly there are some kids who never saw MJ play that actually think the above post is true

I watched him play with the Wizards.

Jordan didn't win his first title til he was 27. LeBron already has one. He should win 6-8 more with his level of dominance ahead of his peers.

I already played this match up on NBA 2K13, Bulls won comfortably. Bulls would win in 5 or 6.

That's the thing, how would they play if they had to play in modern rules where defense is banned?

Jordan in his prime was better than Lebron.

I gave the Heat a win because I think Lebron could pull off one due to purely superior athleticism. He doesn't get more than 1 though. Jordan would murder Wade. Pippen would do well enough against Lebron. Rodman would make Bosh cry.

Bulls in 4

And the constant "Rodman would make Bosh cry" make me laugh....and it's true.

Hell, I'm not sure the Heat beat the Bad Boy Pistons or the 80's Celtics.

A little bit of perspective on how good of a defender Rodman was. Chris Bosh would maybe score 2 points the whole series because Rodman would have to switch off.

That would make Pippen even more valuable than Jordan then. Lebron is going to average 20 regardless of who's defending him, and he's still going to find a way to dish out 5-10 assists every game too. That said it is quite obvious that Wade and Bosh would be extremely overmatched and probably entirely neutralized.

love this

and Rodman dominated big guys in a time where the big men in the league weren't pretty much all soft, most the big guys in the NBA today would be too scared to go near Rodman, Rodman would make Bosh his *****. There's no doubt that LeBron would get his, he would not be getting shut down, but in the end one man army LeBron may get them a win or two, but the Bulls put them to bed pretty comfortably.

Pretty much agree with the majority here. Pippen would guard Lebron as well as anyone, even today. Jordan would have his way with Wade. Rodman would probably average 20 rebounds a game along with absolutely shutting Bosh down. The Bulls also had far more depth and the better coach. At various points in the game LeBron could have any one of Jordan, Pippen, Harper, and even Rodman guarding him. That would be a long night for him. Miami's only chance to take a game or two would be to run Chicago out of the building, but Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman were as athletic as they come, so I'm not even sure that would work.

Michael Jordan was a different animal. He thrived on proving he was better than everyone else. I'm not denying LeBron's talent, but Jordan had that talent (albeit in a smaller body) but had the greatest competitive spirit I think I've ever seen. He wanted to beat you, humiliate you even. Jordan never, ever would have jumped ship to go play with Wade, he would have wanted to beat Wade, every year; and he would have. That's the difference that younger people don't seem to get. If you saw him with the Wizards only, you only saw a shadow of what he was.

I think if you took the '96 Bulls out of a void and had them play this year's Heat team it might be a closer series than some are saying; but if they had time to size them up, they should win handily. Also Rodman & Pippen were absolutely stellar defensive players, and as already mentioned the depth of the Bulls was far greater than the depth of the Heat team.

I was 5 in 96 and don't remember much but I do remember enough about the the 97 and 98 Bulls. Either way I think any 3 of those teams would beat the Heat.

I was generous and gave the an extra game and said it would go 6.

Sweet jesus, watching the hypothetical matchup between Scottie vs Lebron or Jordan vs Lebron would be basketball heaven.

Scotty Pippen was Michael Jordans caddie. Pippen eventually became good but without Jordan, he wouldnt be considered in the upper tier of defenders. Jordan defensively was head and shoulders better than Pippen and basically everyone else. Pippen could make steals and play a good half court game but down low containment of LeBron as a PF would be limited one on one.

Lebron and most other teams were loaded going 3 or 4 deep with potential all-stars. Jordan won his championships with probably the least amount of help. Besides Pippen, others were role players at best.

Rodman was a great rebounder and considering his size may have been one of the best inch for inch. He was still a role player. Great role player but a role player nonetheless.

LeBron has schooled KG on multiple occasions, he has the most All Defensive team appearances. He's also mean as ****.
