Mantha - Monahan - Rychel
Shinkaruk - Reinhart - Domi
Leipsic - Laughton - Hudon
Lazar - Horvat - Klimchuk

Finn - Reinhart
Dumba - Nurse
Pouliot - Pulock
Pelech

Paterson
Fucale

This is assuming that Mackinnon, Drouin and Rielly are in the NHL. Wouldn't be surprised to see Laughton in the NHL either, that would be a big blow though, as he would otherwise anchor the bottom-six.

Your missing Canada's most talented player on that roster.

What do people think are the chances that HC brings along Petan and Leipsic?

I will be very surprised if Laughton is not on the Flyers. I would not count on him.

Leipsic's are good, Petan not as much.

I'm perplexed by the amount of line ups without McDavid and/or Ekblad.

Dumba as Captain? Might as well cancel our entry into the tournament. DUMBa is not good at hockey.

He already captained Canada at the U18s last year, and would be one of Canada's most senior members. Ill admit though that its more likely that Reinhart gets it since he was there last year. He also wouldn't have been a top 10 pick at the draft if he wasn't good at hockey

Here's my updated roster after the playoffs and U18s

Rychel-McDavid-Shinkaruk
Drouin-Reinhart-Lazar
Domi-Monahan-Hudon (A)
Mantha-Horvat-Wilson
Leipsic

Rielly (A)-Dumba
Reinhart (C)-Ekblad
Nurse-Pulock
Severson

Fucale
Paterson
Desrosiers

Lots of leadership on this team...Shinkaruk, S. Reinhart, Monahan, Hudon, G. Reinhart, Pulock are all captains, while Horvat, Dumba, Ekblad, Rielly and Rychel are all lead candidates to take open spots on their teams next year

Fucale can also come back the next year. That's something Canada hasn't had in my recent memory. (I don't include Patterson, he was only a third-string in Ufa.)

Reinhart currently faces a four game suspension from IIHF competition. Absolutely no chance that he's named captain of the World Junior team.

In fact, there's a possibility that the length of the suspension is such that Canada doesn't take him.

I wasn't aware it carried over between tournaments. That sucks, he would be one of their best defensemen

1 thing is guaranteed, some random scrub will get a spot over a skill player like Lipon did.

Is Rychel Canadian or American in terms of hockey?

In your lines I would swap Lazar and Mantha, if only because Lazar is much more reliable defensively, and Mantha need to be scoring to be effective.

Random scrub who was top 5 in bot regular and post season scoring in he WHL.

I'd say Camara was a worse player to take, anyhow it doesn't matter.

It's not an all star team, you need the right group...Spott made a few errors IMO and it cost the team.

JC Lipon definitely wasn't the reason.

I put Lazar there because he had good chemistry with Drouin at the Ivan Hlinka tournament last year. Mantha would be in a checking role on that line, because he is quite physical when he wants to be

Just wondering what Dumba brings over Severson other than draft position. A shutdown defensmen on a defense first team that had 51 points in his last 54 games. You would think he would be a lock.
