That was very nice to hear, Ward is tearing it up getting tons of chances. Seems to be the Dogs offence in the first.

Shots are 8-7 Bulldogs after 1, still 0-0.

Julien is talking in the intermission, enjoying watching how the players react during crunch time. Says it's a great chance to get a good read on the Dogs. Notes on some players that Derek asked him about:

Archer - Says he has really come a long way, and it's great to see from such a late round pick. Impressed, and management were talking about him before as well.

Komisarek - Loves how he has come back from is hip injury. Coming in late and fitting in well, keeping his game simple. Been efficient in doing so, throwing his weight around, making good first passes. On the right track.

Plekanec - Derek says fans were getting on his case, Julien says he is showing inconsistency and they talked to Plekanec about improving this but he has been a really good player. Thats the only thing they want him to improve. If he does this he will become the great player fans expect.

Ward - He knows Jason has the heart and the leadership but sometimes tries to hard, but now he is playing his game and scoring the odd goal and being a very good player for the team, a good leader

Kostitsyn - Says they were talking about huge improvements and Kosty is one of them, he is only 19 and he is making such a big transgression here from Europe. Since training camp he has become a totally different player so strong on the puck and a great shot. Only getting better.

Locke - Controls the puck so well on the powerplay, sees the ice so well. It's his first year and he didn't have the greatest chance to play top line minutes, once he begins to get the ice time and finishes his learning year he will improve his production and you can see it on the PP.

That's basically what he was saying about some of your top prospects for those who missed it. Second period up soon.

Letz Go Bulldogs PP....JARVIS...play AK-47!!

Ward "Blew a Tire".....

Kostitsyn seems to need to make to much fancy plays...they say he needs to bring it down a notch...

It comes with time, knowing when to do a fancy play, whats important is having players that CAN make moves.

(No goal on pp )

Andreychuk doesn't have the "moves" either but he's pretty effective on the PP. Key to a good PP is movement, passing and positioning.

Kosty ripped down after a nice move and a great chance to score stopped. PP for the Dogs.
