Red pants would definitely be the way to go on the icethetics set. Obviously they need some tweaking as was pointed out. I'd ditch the script entirely, for instance, on the logo. Also, the numbers combined with the primary colors looks to childlike. I'd want less rounded numbers. Some tweaking is all. I'd be happy with it.
All of it is Dave Tippett's fault. He's the worst.
C'mon, we're a podunk poor ass team in the middle of the desert. Let's have some uniforms that reflect that. Desert camo shade sand, with black everything. Something a convict would be proud to wear, or that a street gang could conceivably adopt.
I really liked the sting jersey's. The black that incorporated the sand looked great. Thoughts? I know they are not NHL quality, but the concept.
They aren't bad. Earlier in the thread we discussed a similar theme, one that went off of Labarbera's new mask and combined some of the new with the old. The problem is that Reebok uses these stupid templates with the edge jersey that force teams to be pretty bland. Dallas is a great example as to how stifling these templates can be. There have been a few new ones introduced in recent years since the last Coyote rebrand, so maybe there are options we haven't seen yet, but it's still something they have to deal with.
I'm not really sure if they've been working on a rebrand on their own, if the NHL will approve one this late in the season or if it's even a good idea to rush something like that. At most I could see the patches changing to AZ, with bigger changes to come next offseason.
