Stafford
Myers

Hemsky
Petry
Musil

Seems clear what the situation is for both teams.

Not getting Myers for a package like that. He may not be playing well this year, but we're not selling him for a few lesser pieces.

Agree . Myers has declined since his rookie season . Petry has improved . To me it not worth the risk with the cap dropping and Myers cap hit

Edmonton can't afford to take the risk that Myers will live up to his contract.

Bringing in Stafford and Myers is a huge amount of money. Not worth losing one of Yakupov, RNH or Schultz because of it.

Perhaps, would make the contract landscape in Edmonton verrrry interesting if they did.

Seems to be a lot of undervaluing of the Oilers players here.
Hemsky is at least equal if not better than stafford.
Petry is a top 4 defenseman and Musil could contribute. Not saying Buffalo does it but not exactly laughably bad.

Myers isin't exactly the sure thing he looked like in his rookie season.

Probably both teams pass and hope their own d man finds consistency and plays to the top of his ability(although myers having the higher upside).

Why, Stafford is last type of player the Oilers need, and is Myers playing like a player worth a 5..5M cap hit. Getting Myers could handy cap the Oilers for years, just not sure if he is fully recovered and if he will be the Myers of old.

Take off the homer goggles. That package wouldn't even get you Myers.

Is Myers playing like a player worth a 5.5M cap hit, it's not so much the value its the idea he will never be that dominating D he was a couple of years ago that scares me. His salary could cripple the Oilers for years if he doesn't.

Really take off yours . Right now the best player in the deal is Hemsky . Myers can be the best player in the package ,but he has not been that player for a couple of years . Cap is going down and you want us to take on a player who is not playing up to his contract while giving up Petry who has continue to improve . Plus a good Prospect . I find it funny people say Hemsky is soft . Want to see soft just watch Stafford . Gagner plays bigger

I'm one of the furthest things from a Myers fan and I've actually advocated for almost 2 years now that they should look to move him, but if this is the package they are getting back I'm not interested in the least.

Edmonton simply can't afford to take a risk on Myers. No one out of Buffalo ever says anything good about this kid anymore, I'd love to be able to take a chance on him but with all our kids it's just not something we can do.
