Any Flyer suspensions or fines for the cheap shots?

Just wondering if Shanahan will lay down some suspensions or fines on Simmonds or Shenn for their cheap hits on Ennis and Gerbe? I didn't hear anything yet about it. We all know Shanny hates Buffalo so I'm not expecting anything in the Sabres favor from that jerky.

I don't think the hit on Ennis was cheap and nothing will come of it.

Fair enough but for sure the Gerbe hit was.

So looking directly at a guys numbers and hitting him isn't cheap? You can say Ennis turned, and that's fine, but Simmonds was trailing him and at no point saw anything but numbers. That should tell you all you need to know.

You would like Ennis to protect himself better, but the hittee needing to protect himself and the hitter throwing a dirty hit don't need to be mutually exclusive. And they aren't in this case.

If there is any justice or consistency, these would have hearings at the very least. Unfortunately, we know there is no justice or consistency in this process. Do you think Kaleta gets suspended if he does that? Of course.

Of course not. Flyer$ are owned by Comcast which owns NBC sports aka the new versus. The league is corrupt and a joke. They rig draft lotteries and favor the financially beneficial teams, especially their precious Flyers and Penguins who got rigged Crosby so they didn't become the KC Penguins. We have the same odds yet we get #13 and they got #1 and of course the lottery done "behind closed doors" since it'd be to hard to rig live.

That is a precious opinion. Please, by all means, help everyone get as educated as you. Provide links to these solid irrefutable statements about rigging draft lotteries. Then another that proves how the Sabres were screwed unfairly out of Crosby. Please, sensei.

The hit on Ennis was a textbook 2 minute boarding penalty that was not called.

If Kaleta had hit Schenn the way Schenn his Gerbe, Kaleta would have been suspended for 5 games. How that hit was only 2 minutes I have no idea.
