Former Flyers 170th overall pick in 2004, Ladislav Ščurko

Despite it saying 15-20 years, I think he was released recently.
The skinny: he stabbed a referee multiple times.

Yeah I played for Stouffville at that time, a guy on our team was best friends with Cizikas so we all knew right away. Poor guy was in shambles after he was convicted.

I believe Klima had multiple DUIs while in Detroit.

Former Penguins goalie prospect Craig Hillier had a DUI while with the Dayton Storm. Was with the team 11 days, never made an official on-ice appearance with the Storm. Got nailed with DUI on the night of his 22nd b-day. Dayton released him and he eventually signed with Toledo...his 4th ECHL team and his 5th team during the 1999-2000 season (which I'm guessing has to be some type of record.)

http://archives.timesleader.com/2000...sp__nbsp_.html

Former WBS Penguins captain Nathan Smith was arrested for streaking and several other charges in 2008. Teammate Ryan Stone was arrested the same night for public drunkeness.

Quote:
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins captain Nathan Smith was charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, open lewdness and indecent exposure for his role in a streaking incident early Sunday morning, according to Scranton police.

According to police documents, Smith said he was acting on a bet when he ran naked into the street on the 100 block of Adams Avenue at 2:29 a.m.

Wasn't an official arrest but noteworthy.

In 2005, Kristian Huselius and fellow Swedish hockey players Henrik Tallinder and Andreas Lilja were investigated on suspicion of sexual exploitation. In March 2005, all three players were suspended from the Swedish national team for one year, with Huselius and Tallinder being released by Swedish club Linköping and Lilja being suspended by Swedish club Mora for the rest of the season.

On February 9, 2005, a 22-year-old woman accused the trio of ****** her. Two days later, police dropped their investigation due to a lack of evidence. However, a special prosecutor reopened the case in March, leading to the suspensions. Huselius and the others were cleared in June of that year after a special prosecutor ruled there was no evidence they forced the woman to have sex.

Sean McMorrow is currently serving time for drug smuggling.

He was carrying pot in his hockey bags over the USA-CAN border.

Bonus trivia: McMorrow is in the "1 NHL game played" club. He played in only one NHL game for the Sabres on March 22nd, 2003.

At the end of the day they're just people.
And if you've met many hockey players, you'll know how they can be.

Milan Lucic was questioned by boston police for an assault on his girlfriend, no charges laid as he protested "Do you know who I am?!"

Several witnesses smoking cigarettes outside the Four Winds bar told police they saw Lucic yelling at his crying girlfriend, and at one point heard “what sounded like a loud slap,’’ according to the police report. But they did not see him hit anyone. (One witness said she observed Lucic holding Carnegie’s purse in one hand and one of her shoes in the other, and then watched as he threw both items at her while she was on the ground.)

A few minutes later, when officers arrived at Lucic’s apartment on nearby Fleet Street, he was “highly intoxicated and hostile,’’ according to the police report. “We had an argument. We’re fine. Why are you here at my house?’’ he asked officers. Questioned further about the altercation on Commercial Street, the report says, he slammed his cellphone on the ground and yelled, “Do you know who I am?’’

1/10 of all arrests are for DUI. It's probably the 2nd most common thing to be arrested for. It's a human favourite.

Scott Timmins, Florida prospect, was arrested the other day.

It's a bizarre one.

On December 6, 2004 Worrell was pulled over while driving a Ford Expedition owned by former teammate Andreas Lilja, in Pompano Beach, Florida.[14] He was pulled over for driving with an expired license plate tag. Worrell, a 6' 7" Caribbean-Canadian, identified himself as Lilja, a 6' 3" Swedish Caucasian.
