MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) - Police arrested two Florida Panther hockey players early Monday morning after they refused to leave a nightclub for disorderly conduct.

According to Miami Beach Police, 43-year-old goalie Ed Belfour and 33-year-old left wing Ville Peltonen were at Nikki Beach around 1 a.m. when they were asked to leave for disorderly conduct. When the pair refused to leave, an officer responded to the scene.

What I find odd about this....is Belfour's last season was 06-07, he was born in April 1965. Looking up this story it was April 9th, so before his 42nd birthday. Way to get the facts wrong!

except that it never happened. He was involved in a BB gun incident, but it wasn't on ice.

There's plenty of things that he might have done (car chases, 3 yrs behind bars after his rookie season, etc.), but your source might be off on that one.

Several witnesses smoking cigarettes outside the Four Winds bar told police they saw Lucic yelling at his crying girlfriend, and at one point heard “what sounded like a loud slap,’’ according to the police report. But they did not see him hit anyone. (One witness said she observed Lucic holding Carnegie’s purse in one hand and one of her shoes in the other, and then watched as he threw both items at her while she was on the ground.)

A few minutes later, when officers arrived at Lucic’s apartment on nearby Fleet Street, he was “highly intoxicated and hostile,’’ according to the police report. “We had an argument. We’re fine. Why are you here at my house?’’ he asked officers. Questioned further about the altercation on Commercial Street, the report says, he slammed his cellphone on the ground and yelled, “Do you know who I am?’’
Of course he slammed his cell phone on the ground, it was smaller than him.

Calgary Flames prospect Michael Ferland was charged with aggravated assault this past summer.

http://www.torontosun.com/2012/08/07...d-in-bar-brawl
Quote:
Cops said a group of people had gathered outside a drinking establishment at around 1:10 a.m. when one male was pushed to the ground.

When another man came over to assist him, he was struck in the face, knocked unconscious and had the orbital bone around his eye fractured.

Police said the attacker then fled from the scene but an investigation led to the charges.

Through his Calgary lawyer, Michael Bates, Ferland released a statement Tuesday denying any wrongdoing.

“It upset me to hear that someone might have been hurt and I am embarrassed by these accusations but I trust the court process and look forward to having this situation behind me as soon as possible” Ferland said
I can't find an update on the court proceedings however, So I am not sure where the process stands as of now.

Brett Sutter was also charged for punching a cab driver back in 2010

Quote:
It's not the first time a member of the Flames organization has found himself in trouble outside a bar. In November 2010, forward Brett Sutter, now with the Carolina Hurricanes, was arrested in outside a Scottsdale, Ariz., bar for punching a cab driver.

Sutter, the son of former Flames GM Darryl Sutter, eventually pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and paid a small fine.

Oilers Prospect Tyler Bunz was arrested and charged last year for a DUI but the charges were dropped later by the crown.

Didn't MacT go to jail in the 80's for drinking/driving where he ended up hitting/killing a pedestrian?

He missed the 1984-85 season while behind bars for most of it for that.

That isn't even his worst. Billy Tibbets spent 2.5 years in prison (and could not play games in Canada because he is a sex offender) for sex offenses.

Ed Belfour was on Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket a few months ago and talked about his arrest. (The audio is probably online, just search for it). He said that he was 'rufied' that night lol.

Chara was almost arrested in Montreal. Or so the fans wanted at least.

Also:

Quote:
Mark Hardy, who played 915 games in the NHL for Los Angeles, Minnesota and the New York Rangers, was arrested on May 21, 2010, in Washington, D.C., for inappropriately touching his 21-year-old daughter, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Hardy, who was an assistant coach of the Los Angeles Kings at the time, was staying at the Mayflower Hotel with his daughter, and after visiting a bar and becoming very intoxicated, climbed into his daughter’s bed and fondled her.

She filed a complaint to the police, and he was taken into custody.
