He was interviewed before a game recently, maybe after he scored. Like you said, he came across very well, and for only being on the team about a week and a half or so, referred to about 8 players by their nicknames. The Sportsnet panel was saying, well it looks like he has fit in if he knows that already.

Interesting is that he didn't get in a fight for a few games, and then only when directly challenged. ie. He didn't have a need to be over aggressive when not needed and do something stupid. Neil is smart like that, and if Kass shows the same smarts it is a great combo.

On the bench and pre-game he doesn't have Neil's killer look, just looks like a good old boy having fun. Definately saw the look though during and after the fight. Looks like a good fit with Maclean, who I don't think would have any use for a mindless goon.

Only because nobody would fight him. He was certainly looking, he'd been challenging guys every game he played. Got turned down by Lucic and Thornton in the same game.

And even the fight yesterday was really caused by him. He went after Conacher a shift earlier, a rookie who is literally half his size. Loving what I'm seeing so far from Kassian.

watching the replay on NHL network right now and saw Kass fight. Stopped by to say I'm glad he could find some playing time on the Sens--Quality guy. Absolutely not a mindless goon...Some of those guys will understandably fight just to keep their jobs but Kass I think sees himself as more of an insurance policy. He's less aggressive in seeking fights than a lot of those kind of guys but he's always game. Loves reading, and animals. Super friendly. If you have Whole Foods or any other organic-friendly grocery store you might find him in there and strike up a conversation--he'll be good for it.

Awesome pics.

For anyone that didn't like this Kassian deal, or giving up a 6th round pick for him, we just replaced it with a 4th rounder.

Then we could trade that 4th rounder at the draft for 3 6th rounders. Imagine a line of Stones.

I'm impressed with the "dressing room effect" Kassian has had with the team.

Even if he's only playing 3 mins a night, it seems that he's instantly become a go-to "character" guy in the dressing room, and very well liked by his teammates.

We would call them the Stone line, not because of the name, but because they are so slow.

It was a good test of his play and he fit in well on the line with Neil and Smith. There will be times when this combo is needed to negate the other team's 4th line and they can do a bit more than that too.

Looks like he's sitting out against NJ if it's true that Michalek is coming back in tonight.
