I don't think Buffalo has anything outside of Hodgson or Grigorenko that would make the Blues do that trade.

Your best bet is Halak + 2nd for Miller.

My first thought was our first rounder

I'm not sure if they do this straight up, Halak had only some bad games and will rebound.

Miller and Stafford make a nice package. Not sure what team makes sense though.

Edmonton... They could use Staffords size up front. And while Dubnyk isnt terrible, Miller is a clear upgrade. At least when he's playing well.

Can't imagine that Miller agrees to move to Winnipeg, and I don't think that's particularly good value for the Sabres either.

These proposals are all terrible. You think your going to get a Vezina winning goalie who has won atleast 30 games in every season since the lockout who has the 12th best SVP in NHL history for scraps? Halak and a 2nd for Miller?

The best thing is is that Miller has NEVER had a good defense in front of him. Hell, from 05-07 Miller had to play behind the run n gun system where he constantly faced breakaways, odd man rushes etc and did extremely well. Someone name the best defenseman Miller has ever played behind. Brian Campbell? Tyler Myers? Ehrhoff?! Please, if Miller got to play in a defensive system he would be a perennial Vezina winner.

You want Miller? 1st + top prospect. He is 32 not 40. Goalies play well into their late 30s.

Miller is way past his prime.

Leafs offer Scrivens, good backup to Enroth, and Bozak to help out with some much needed offense. We can add a 4th maybe to sweeten the pot. Ryan does not have much left on his contract and isn't worth much more than that after his play lately + short term contract.

I don't know how Regier could turn this down, especially with that 4th that really sweetens the pot.

As a neutral Isles fan, this is ridiculous and almost laughable. Why not a 2nd + B prospect for Kessel?

Anyways, let's go through the list of teams Miller would not accept a trade to...

Edmonton Oilers
Calgary Flames
New York Islanders
Florida Panthers
Phoenix Coyotes
whom else?

Winnipeg Jets? This is where San Jose or Vancouver needs to step in to upgrade or change the overall outlook of their goaltending, but in the end Buffalo probably trades with Detroit.

Bozak never gets enough credit because he is a Leaf.

He wins faceoffs, is a good passer, and does a lot of things well defensively.

Scrivens is a great backup.

Ryan Miller is an overpaid, declining goalie who has not had a solid season in 2 years.

He also has distractions and is too emotional.

You kids over value old players that had great seasons before. I guess we should
still pay Giguere 6 million too because he once won a Cup.

Dear lord some posters on this website really make me question why I come on here sometimes.
You got it . Miller is over paid . He is a drama queen. I do not want him near the oilers . I would rather pay to keep him away . I know Whitney has had a bad year to date ,just starting to pick up his play . I just do not want Miller . Some poster can not understand English , Dear lord . I sometime question how posters can thing an over paid player has value .

No goalie in the NHL would be putting up good numbers playing behind the Sabres this year. Last year, he had something like a 1.95 GAA in his last 35 games coming off the concussion.

He might be overpaid, but hes not bad like you say he is.

Good luck convincing people. Canucks dams have been doing this for the past 6 months with luongo.

I hate buffalo. That being said, i would take Miller on the Leafs in a heartbeat.

Kulemin, scrivens, 2nd

Who said Miller is being shopped exactly? He is not going to be traded. We have no replacement goalie, Enroth just got his first win in a year and a half.

Miller is still a more moveable piece compared to Luongo though IMO given that he'll come cheap and the term of his deal is shorter (only another year or two left I believe)

Yet you seem oh-so-willing to take him off Buffalo's hands for your expendables
