Exactly. Just because everyone says Yzerman is solid doesn't mean he doesn't have to win.

Having a garbage goalie will get you nowhere.

He's not terrible, but he's not worth what he's paid. If he was making about $1.5million less people would be less fussy about him.

That would be a sweet deal for Miller, Just not sure though that Malone would waive his NTC to play In Buffalo I think It's only Pittsburgh or bust.

So if he's been a top 4 defensemen and Salo hasn't been injured, what's the deal with your team? For the first time in a few years, that D isn't playing trash like MAB top four minutes. Has the goaltending been that putrid? Vinny's injury + a mediocre bottom six?

I'd give Lindback a chance next year and work on the defense, Miller has fallen off, he ain't what he once was. This coupled with a new coach, who probably isn't as inept in formulating a decent defense lol

I think he is, buffalo has terrible defense and defensive forwards, millers faced most shots in the nhl

Miller is still a top 10 goalie in the league. He faced the most shots in the nhl. he has not fallen off if anything he is being consistently good unlike his consistently poor defense.

I don't think Miller has "fallen off" at all. He was playing really well during the last 30 games or so last season. This year, hes been way better than his numbers show, for the most part.

Wait ... we've been told that Yzerman has no interest in another goalie. What's this thread for?

Miller for Bernier + a pick?

Though, the Kings will lose an asset they could try trading for Iginla.

It was mainly the system they were playing. Boucher wouldn't adapt his game once it was figured out and it cost him his job while also making the team look terrible. Towards the end there players were just giving up. Marty refused to chase down a breakaway.

Let that sink in, Martin St. Louis gave up on a play.

The team is better than last year but things haven't worked out as expected.

Why these rumors again, we don't want him. He would cost too much to acquire, costs way too much, will most likely walk after next year and Lindback was outperforming him before he got hurt.

Oh I didn't know a .903 SVP was better then a .911 SVP. So no, he wasn't outperforming Miller at all.

Miller is a former Vezina winning top 10 goalie. He has never had the benefit of playing behind a good defense. The 3 best defenseman that he played behind are Brian Campbell, Tyler Myers and Christian Ehrhoff, you know three "defensive" studs

If Miller had a somewhat good defense he would have multiple Vezinas right now. He does more with less more then any other goalie.

The difference between Garon and Miller is a lot more than two 2nds.

It really depends. It means one more team that needs a goalie. Same as UFA's do. The only thing that can really hurt his trade value is. Young starters entering the league faster than old guys leave. I'd say smith theodore halak bryz and lindback all in various stages of suck has helped...markstrom allen fasth and bernier has hurt.

Miller trade to TB does little if TB would not trade for Lou.

Lindback had a bad stretch early in the season but was on fire right before he got hurt.
You said it perfectly he's a former Vezina winner and top 10 goalie. He really hasn't been playing as well the past few seasons.
Our D has been much worse than yours the past several years, if we had better D or defensive system we'd still have Mike Smith in net and wouldn't have all these goalie rumors.
