While I do agree with you, how do we know Bowman isn't trying? If you haven't noticed, the Pens are getting their trades from the West. The Stars and Sharks will not trade with the Hawks when they may very well play them in the first round this year.

Murray and Morrow both suck. I would like Shero's aggressiveness a lot more if the players he acquired were actually good.

Would the Hawks use or need either of those players? No....they would prolly be in the press box. Lets wait and see......since that is what Stan is best at .

Deja vu what? The Hawks grabbed Oduya last year who has been huge in improving our defensive depth. Getting old guys at the end of their career who can no longer skate isn't what the Hawks need. DO SOMETHING!!! is not always correct

Lol.

The Pens needed to get older and slower? I guess that could work for them, maybe.

Hopefully the Hawks dangle Bolland out there while he might still have some value

Too bad we don't still have Morrison and Brunette...given how generous the Pens seem, maybe we could have gotten Neal for them

Cant believe I am actually advocating this but

Bolland + for Gagner?

Gagner at least offensively is improvement at #2 C

Would Edmonton do it? I'd definitely do it. I don't feel like the + would need to be terribly big, personally.

Meh Bolland back in checking role could be helpful for Oilers who defensively still have work to do

MY GOD! Bolland for Gagner? Yes a possible minor upgrade offensively for a huge loss defensively and a loss of a play-off warrior.

As we all know its scoring that is the Hawks biggest weakness.

Gagner would be big upgrade over Bolland at this point offensively and what we have seen of Bolland defensively this year not sure Gagner is much of a drop off

See the problem is that Bolland at 2C doesn't know what he is supposed to be...he is used to playing a defensive role as 3C...now as 2C he is caught between being great defensively and being aggressive offensively...so now he isn't doing either effectively. To summarize, the Hawks really need an offensive-minded 2C so Bolland can move back to 3C where he belongs.

Time to reunite Gagner and Kane. Kane needs somebody that can play with him and other than Toews, Gagner would be the one who knows him best. Lets also get Kositityn and reunite 06-07 London Knights , that way that line would never play defence but would average 6 points a game.

It will be a cold day in hell before I support getting anyone named Kostitsyn on the Hawks.

oh no.

the only player i'd be more displeased to see on the team than bozak is gagner.

and your comments re the knights make me think you never watched the team at all that year - or any other years.

better him than Gagner. if nothing else maybe we could spend our time watching a hawks *flight path* home from a road trip while we wondered whether Kostitsyn would be arrested getting off the plane for gangster activity

This board is too funny, Bolland is terrible at 2C but Sam Gagner would be a disappointment. How could it get worse!

Mike Ribeiro probably ain't coming so lets get back to reality, maybe if we're lucky Bowman will claim somebody off the scrap heap for us and we can debate that move for days.

At least with Sam Gagner on the Chicago Blackhawks, Sam Gagner would not have an eight point game in Edmonton against the Chicago Blackhawks.

We could write a ******* book full of excuses that explained why Bowman hasn't done his job over the years. Why are you people so enamored with this guy? He can do absolutely nothing wrong here.

Because he literally has done nothing wrong. It's not hard to figure out.

Did you want Morrow or Murray? Have you watched any NHL games outside of the Hawks this year?

You, coldsteel, have zero ******* clue who's available or what the asking price is. Why don't you stop ******** about what you don't know, and enjoy the successful season Chicago's having. If Bowman can improve the team, he will.
