4:51 of ice time.

He actually had a good scoring opportunity that almost went in, but Lundqvist got the pad on it.

Honestly, that play seems to be the only one he knows how to make. He a loose puck in the slot, turn and shoot.

Might see it a little after the trade deadline or when they're official out.

No.

I can't believe people think feeding the guy substantial ice time is going to suddenly make him a better player. He's practiced with an NHL team for months. He's just not ready.

Probably just exaggeration after that completely horrendously botched 2-on-1 where he basically skated over to Stafford. Wouldn't be the first time one play has completely overshadowed the rest of the game.

Missed opportunity to get to 30th with the Lightning-Panthers game close
Goal differential on the power play this year: +2 (seven goals for, five goals against)
with their team that just isn't going to happen.. their is no chance FLA finished with a better record so their is no point in worrying about them

Sekera was the best player on the ice tonight and it wasn't even that close for me, as good as a couple other players were. Absolutely dominated against the Nash line while contributing offensively. The second goal was a great pass by Pominville but that play started by Sekera winning that board battle (I believe against Hagelin).

I completely disagree. I know we've both watched the same player in the same games, too, so we might as well agree to disagree.

Incidentally, I don't think it will make him a better player. I think it will better suit him as he is.

He wouldn't be able to keep up with the play. Simple response. His skating is not nhl level. Not saying he never will be but right now he just looks awkward out there.

We are arguably the worst team in the league, and we have the worst PP in the league.

What would get worse by giving Grigs more chances?

We are at the bottom

I'd say Ehrhoff, but Sekera is a close number 2.

The fans were actually booing them when it was 1-1 and they had iced the puck on the power play twice in 20 seconds. There's quite a few things the fans could ask for too like not having Steve Ott on the power play.

How about that pass by Hodgson on Vanek's goal... Enwrath unleashed his roth... Foligno parking his ass in front of the net where it belongs...

Foligno played well. Even if you take away his two goals, he was bringing the kind of game that endeared him to fans last year. The offense was a bonus.

To Otter: it is borderline impossible to provide support for such ineptitude on the PP. Not sure how you could realistically expect to get cheered when you take fourteen icings and can't connect on a single pass when up a man.

Enroth looked good. Flynn and Porter looked good again, more so Flynn. Weber is emerging as the second best defenseman to Sekera. Not much to complain about here aside from the PP.

Booing is dumb during game play. Just my opinion.

But it is impossible to not boo that PP.

Meh. How else can fans express their displeasure with poor play?

It was deserved.
