Ha.

I'll admit, very happy about the win but my first thought was " this better not make the FO think we only need a minor acquisition " .

I can't wait to see Sutter in the playoffs with how clutch he's been.

Its not like he takes a ton of shots each game; he's not a sniper. A lot of his goals are one timers that the goalie has to go across the crease for or dirty goals in the paint where he essentially just redirects it into the net.

I loved the win, but do not be surprised if that is the takeaway . . . 'Geno will be our deadline acquisition'.

Is Despres still hurt?
Ya, there was something about Despres' middle finger having a hang nail. Or maybe DB caught Despres with his middle finger up behind DB. I'm not sure which one it was.

What a turnaround, Koon is freaking automatic.
He had the flu for 2-3 weeks. I had it for 3 weeks and am now just really getting over it. I'll chalk it up to that.

not a single fan could have been upset with an 18-20 goal season from Kunitz in 48 games.

Despres really needs to get photography lessons fast.

I still can't believe they actually won this game. Amazing. Sutter is so clutch.

Totally off topic but, this is the most current Rossi tweet: "Rob Rossi ‏@RobRossi_Trib
#TribHKY That said, I stand by statement that these 2 games this week are unlikely to provide indicator of a playoff result. "

Does anybody else despise this clown besides me?

+ Sutter

- I really want Despres to be more of a fixture in the lineup. (Just my little hangup).
Bennett really does improve a little bit every game. It's amazing how complete his game is too. I never would have guessed that he would be as physical as he has been or that he would be so consistent as a back checker. He's a smart player and it shows.

+ NBC >> Root, Engblom >> Errey, Brandon > Brent

+ Beauner continues to rise

+ Crosby

+ Letang

+ Clode Impossible not to like that guy. He's nowhere near as hate-worthy as guys like Lavs or Torts. He's funny even when he's complaining most of the time. Prototypical hockey coach.

- Dupuis single-handedly out hit both teams. Was expecting some slangin' and bangin' tonight. Most tame Bruins - Pens game ever. I expect Sunday will be different.

--- Kennedy you ****ing suck. How are you so dumb to not even realize that if you're going to take that crap shot from that same crap angle every time, shoot it LOW so you get a ****ing rebound going, dude. Maybe someone charging down center ice will get a shot at a put-back. Basic hockey. Every time... same spot, two feet off the ice, right into the goalie's chest. Even did it from the left side once tonight wide-open. It's time to get Skippy the Wonder-pig off this roster. I'd rather have $2M worth of real bacon distributed at the next College rush night.

Missed the third as I had to get to work. What an awesome comeback! Grand! Spunk! Sutter Clutch!

Doubt we'd sit on them so much if they weren't on their second leg of a back to back, but the ice was tilted for all the game seemingly, outside the first 10 minutes or so. We did virtually everything right 5 on 5 in what I saw, just short of a little finish/skill what with Malkin out.

Should be another major confidence booster.

Still, for the few drops of malice...

1: Everything about our defensive zone frailties and PK weakness still stand.
2: Letang has the same PP issues we've discussed at length.
3: I absolutely hate that we keep scratching Despres. We know what Eaton brings, he is supposed to be cover, not someone blocking the way of a superior young player at a time where we need to get him battle ready. This is not hating on Eaton.... he has been much better than I had hoped. But there has to be a big picture there somewhere.
4: I think I am starting to hate Tanner Glass.

If I'm Shero, I look at this game and think....

-Sid can be shutdown. It just happened. He is indeed mortal. Getting him someone who can make plays on his own will limit the chances of our top line being held scoreless in postseason hockey.

-Sutter is clutch.

-Bennett is here to stay.

-Bottom six needs blown up and reassembled. Moving Dupuis down with Sutter would be a start.

-Our personnel on defense is fine. The scheme and execution could be better.
