The values of reporters as a whole are way off of what they should be. Most questions reporters ask are ludicrous. Some reporters out there are alright and I find he answers good questions with good answers (most of the time).

If you are a reporter who only asks crap questions, then I honestly don't think you deserve the paycheck.

He answers questions when they win.

He absolutely refuses to when they lose.

That's the only strategy behind Tortorella's press conferences.

I used to find him entertaining, but now, God is he ever annoying. Just like claude in Winnipeg. Both so annoying. All they do is whine.

That is why I can't stand him either. He whines constantly about other people in the league whining. It's pretty ludicris. However I do love how he makes the media squirm very much.

No thanks

I love Deboer as a coach. He's young, so I don't think he's at the stage in his career where he can be as motivational as Tortorella but he has a great hockey mind.. he's great systems-wise.

The coaches get paid millions of dollars and talking to the media is part of the job. I hate when they get all pissy like Tortorella has several times. Just answer the questions or at the very least skate around it without being an ass.

Exactly.

Tortorella can pretend like it isn't, but a part of his job is addressing the media. It's not just coaching hockey players.

I agree completely. Torts is an angry cry baby but claude looks like he's actually gonna break down each time.

He's always been a whiner, but he made up for it by being an ass to Brooksie and everybody loved it. Now he's just being an ass on his own, and it's not nearly as entertaining as before.

Watching him in interviews and such used to be pretty funny . But acting lika a angry teenager all the time is getting a bit old.

When Torts does stuff like this, it reminds me, why, while I like most of the Northeastern part of the country, I don't miss the people back there at all, too many are rude and abrasive.

This act was funny at first but now he comes off as a d-bag. Your a NHL coach, the media is going to ask you questions, its a part of your job so deal with it.

He's the worst.
he asks his players to give up their bodies, for his idiotic shot blocking defense, then gets mad when they have no jump and suck....gee Torts ya think your strategy in a shortened season may need to be changed?

Yes, Torts, you're the only coach in the league that has to answer questions after a game. It's really unfair that the New York press is talking to the New York coach about the play of New York. Clearly, they would get more insight from the Buffalo coach.

Are you double stupid, man?

....uhmmmmmmmmm, don't know what the Sabres coach has to do with this, he was referring to his own players.

I wonder how long this guy has until he's a permanent seat on TSN's ''The Quiz''. Guy shouldn't coach. Has no respect for players, or anyone for that matter.

That's a neat trick - he managed to diss the players on both teams in one comment.
