Nice. The four guys that want a call up keep scoring as Boyes rides the pine.

Go BP!

Sundstrom just tied the game but it was called back on a penalty on Persson. Replays show it was a BS call as the CT player pushed Persson into the goalie. BPT still down by 1

Nice to see the BS calls and non-calls are happening on the AHL and the NHL. All we ask is consistency!

I was sitting front row along the goal line and saw it happen. Another half a second and it would have been a good goal. Immediately following the final horn Persson tracked down the ref that waived off the earlier goal and certainly gave him a piece of his mind haha

Some other observations...
-Strome looks like a great playmaker but has a much better shot then I anticipated
-Took Pedan a period or so to get into the tempo but he played a sound game and made some smart outlet passes. Wasn't that physical (yet)
-Nino was very strong along the boards
-The under 5'6" Joey Diamond deserves a Bport contract for next season. Moved the puck well one the first line. Even though he got rocked a few times he got right back up and defended himself. Behind the play he got into it with the large Dylan McIlrath who loves to fight and kept jabbing at him and shoving him. Eventually after the refs separated the two later on in the game he decided to drop the gloves with the bigger Kris Newbury and he was able to land quite a few punches. The kid is small but VERY scrappy.

Very good indeed. I am not saying you, but in general it seems like way too many fans have written off Nino since that "trade demand."

Some fail to realize Nino has been pretty productive this year getting actually minutes and not bein burried with awful washed up players.

IMO, this is why Nino was left down there. I mean it's obvious people are not slow, everyone knows Nino needed to work on certain aspects of his game. However, I think Snow had a very tough choice. Mainly because Nino is slated to be a top six winger no questioned asked. I mean will anyone argue that Nino would be far more effective than Boyes?

So do you bring Nino up and have superior offense with work to be done or allow the Swiss Miss to refine his game and come up as a more complete player.

Backman just had a shorthanded breakaway, hit the post, would have made it 2-0. Still 1-0 Sound Tigers in the first.

Seeing that Wishart has had an assist and a fight so far today, what's the update on him? How gas he looked so far this season? Is there some hope that he can make it (back) to the big show?

Stats can be deceiving. Wasn't much of an assist and the 'fight' was him going against a real tough customer and holding on for dear life before he got taken to the ice (Isles Enforcer always posts all fights you should subscribe to him as Im sure he'll post that, if he hasn't already).

Anyway Wishart is an acceptable depth AHL defenceman. Nothing more.

Yes! Can't wait for him to come and be benched.

Edit: In all seriousness, if Capuano would do the right thing, then Boyes is playing himself right off this team with Ullstrom, JJ, Lee, etc.

I hear ya. It's the rookie treatment. Some people still think it's a good idea to call kids up that are clicking and playing well and banging in goals left and right when they play 18 minutes a night and are asked to produce offense then call them up and ask them to come up and play on the 4th line next to a couple of grinders whose line's main objective is to play sound defensively. Then when they don't score, well they never deserved a promotion to a line that is actually conducive to what that player does. I do not subscribe to this theory. Capuano seems to.

There is a stoppage in the game right now, cleaning up the ice, Eric Wellwood was cut BADLY.. a lot of blood. Hope he's okay./
