3 points out of a playoff spot after the road trip through hell. I'm a happy camper! Hopefully Steve recognizes that he needs to upgrade the goaltending and d. Maybe another tough forward as well. Nice to be close to the playoffs in March, it's been to many years since we've been in this situation.

just trying to point out how important winning faceoffs can be. two game in a row gagner and RNH really sucked and horcoff did well.
also shows how Horcoff taking some of the heavy lifting at centre can really help a young player like RNH.

there might be something to the Horcoff Factor.

I like the look of the team without Belanger sucking the offensive life out of anyone that plays with him. I'm content with Smyth as the 4th C at this point.

First time the whole season that we've got two in a row...and they did it convincingly. Let's hope this can carry over back home!

If he woulda kept his stick on the ice he could have had a nice tap in too.

That 2-0 goal was all him.

@GenePrincipe: Ales Hemsky hasn't been feeling well and that's why he's no longer playing tonight. Ralph Krueger did say minor flu bug hit the club

Sounds like illness not injury

by far the best Oiler on the road trip. he's really establishing himself and giving the Oilers no choice but to keep him up.

and now 5000 posts. wow. thought I'd have quit here long before this. lol

Wow.

8 points seperate 3-15 in the Western Conference right now. That's 6 spots up for grabs for any team that is able to go on a bit of a run.

PRV getting basically ragdolled by Wilson. Good on him to stay calm, it would be nice if someone could teach him to "push" back a little, but nothing wrong there.
Disagree. That was reminiscent of Marchand making Sedin his personal *****.
Congratulations to Horcoff for stepping in (a rare move on his part indeed) but Wilson needs to be made to pay for a gratuitous display of goonery like that. Some stern words from Horc doesn't cut it.
MPS has to get his stick up there and at least attempt to defend himself. He basically cowered.

Belanger and Horcoff should spend a extra hour after practice with Gagner and RNH

PRV is turning out to be a great addition to the line of Gags and Yak....he's really taking advantage of this opportunity. I'm liking the balance on that line a lot.

1) This "streak" isn't going to continue if Hemsky is injured.

2) If its just the flu, it's ridiculously scary how an "off" Hemmer can still dent the scoresheet so easily.

3) Paaja is back. Great to see him swagger around with confidence.

I don't think anyone here caught it, but MPS threw a shoulder into Wilson's jaw just as the camera panned back up the ice. That's the reason a scrum was developing. Great move by MPS to stand up for himself

I'd love it if somebody would take Belanger off our hands. Anybody need a so-called face-off man?
