MLB Thread
I figure we need some thread for MLB action so....
Well the season is in full swing now with a bunch of afternoon games. Pedro is making his Met debut and has just let up a 3 run homer to Adam Dunn
The A's open up in Baltimore with Zito getting the start. He didn't perform very well in afternoon games last year so this could be a rough start against that lineup

tigers are tearing apart the Royals. Dmitri Young has 2 Hrs, and Jeremy Bonderman i think has 7 Strike-outs thru 5 innings.
8-1 Tigers.

Lima got shelled and people criticised the Dodgers for letting him walk.

Adam Dunn with a 2-run bomb in the 9th off Looper to tie the game.
If Dunn stays healthy he's winning the major league HR race.
EDIT: While typing Joe Randa followed Dunn's blast with one of his own to win the game.

Why bring in Looper there?
Look at how those three were life-time against him before this inning:
Kearns - 3-7 2 hr against loop
Dunn - 5-5 2 hr's
Randa - 4-9 1hr
Yet, we still bring him in... and now we lose.

On espn they reported Dunn was 1-5 with 1 HR and 3 K's against Looper, before this bomb.

I have no idea, I just took that stat off the ESPN Mets message board.
Anyhow, I know he's the closer and all, but this guy can't throw for crap and it's evident we need Urbina.
