wow, i really liked his skill set on this small team. He hit a few people the last few games and those players looked in shock from the sting of his size and weight.

Don't know why he has not excelled...concusions can't be that bad as he's pounded people.

the rumours people mention on this board about his conduct, wish they can elaborate...

Sounds a bit like Souray...

Eager might be the worst "grinder" in the league.

His board play needs A LOT of work.

I was sitting right in the corner when he took that hit. Absolutely crushed Eager. I couldn't believe how fast he popped back up though, but has clearly never been the same

How many players has he acquired that had to be (or should have been) replaced by a different player?

Little wonder this team is so painfully slow at making progress towards being competitive..
Big deal. At least it's not like Slats looking to move a 7.5mil a year mistake.

Back on topic. I really hope someone put in a claim for him. It would be great to get rid of that contract.

I don't think that math works out.

What teams could use a player like him? Montreal obviously, TO and Philly generally like players like him. Pittsburgh's 4th line isn't great and they may want a bit of "psycho" in their line up. Maybe the Rangers too? Who else might want him?

After listening to the Habs' beat guy this morning on the Team, I think the Habs may claim him.

He said the Habs "sent a player down right after the game, which didn't make much sense given the state of the roster" which leads me to believe either Johnson or Eager may be a target for the Canadiens.

Renaud Lavoie(French Mckenzie) stated the Hab aren't claiming Eager. He is very connected especially with Montreal.

Who is going to give anything up for him unless we are taking a lot of garbage back?

Damn it. I was really hoping we'd be rid of his contract. Hopefully a trade can be worked out.

A team who wants to dump one of their own players.

Yes it happens. It's actually annoying that people still ask this. Especially when it happened two weeks ago with McGrattan.

Gets rid of Eager's salary for next year? Brings in someone that really has no issue playing in OKC as they are already in the AHL.

We, as Oiler fans, overvalue our players big time. With both Hordi and Eager clearing, it really shows you the kind of work Tambo has been doing. Belanger would probably clear waivers too. Meaning the offseason of 2012 was truly horrible. This team has one of the worst bottom 6 in the league. Some major changes need to be made, and I think it should start with Tambo.
