Really good (brand new) tune from a really underrated Canadian producer.

Figured a few of you might enjoy this.

Oh and there was a new WAO138 last week!

I didn't know you were in to hardstyle. I don't mind it for short periods of time, I like that track as much as I like any hardstyle though I suppose.

Same for me. It's fine for a while but I usually can't even make it through an hour mix without getting tired of it.

Damn. Based on the previews, Pegboard Nerds' new EP is sounding better than expected. They did a song with a kid from my hometown (really small northern Alberta town, so the last place you would expect an EDM producer to come from) which is cool to see. I really have no idea why they decide to do a trap song though. I guess it is the cool thing to do right now.

Was at Firefly this weekend, saw Calvin Harris, Manufactured Superstars, White Panda and Zedd

Ranking them...

Zedd
White Panda

Manufactured Superstars

Calvin Harris

Calvin Harris wasn't bad he just wasn't anything special... maybe if I hadn't stood for like 4 hours straight for Ellie and the time in between them to make sure I got a good spot, I would have enjoyed it more. But even then, his set wasn't that great and pretty disappointing to be honest.

Really? I'm not that high on it personally. Aside from "Numb" not much really impressed me (Edit; and the Charlie Darker remix of The Alarm! Forgot about that), and I found his mixing to be pretty poor. That might just be the left-over taste of **** in my mouth from the last time I saw him live though.

I've heard from a few outlets that Bro Safari had an unreal set, so I'm looking forward to the posting of that. He had one of my favorite sets at Northern Lights so I shouldn't be too surprised.

I've only seen Calvin Harris one time, and he was really good. His song selection left some to be desired but I couldn't complain too much -- he is a progressive house producer/DJ after-all. His skills as a DJ and overall ability were top-notch though.

My friend who has been to every show and festival under the sun has seen him something like 6 times. He isn't a fan of his by any means, but he said that three times he saw Calvin Harris, there were among some of the worst shows he has ever seen. He also said that the other three were some of the absolute best shows he has ever seen, so I would venture you caught him on one of his (evidently all-too-frequent) off nights. He is also a pretty successful DJ himself, so a "good" show to him is different than what it might be to you and me.

I've been digging this edit of that song for a while now, but that is my first time actually listening to the original. I didn't realize how similar they are

Massive. I feel like this was meant to be ASOT 600 anthem material or something.

Saw Eric Prydz last night for the first time. Played a 2 hour set and it was the greatest live set I've seen.

Just amazing stuff from him. He's so refreshing in a place where nothing but house banger DJ's come through.

How is Boonstock? I was deterred from going right away when half of the people going were saying things like "I don't even know who is playing, it is just an excuse to get really drunk".

I saw him at EDC LV and it was just an amazing experience, while all my friends hated it and said it was boring. Before him was Sander, Tritonal and Sunnery James and they just played the bangers even heard the same song a few times in just those 3 DJ's alone......

It was okay. I only really wanted to see Eric Prydz.

I've seen all the other DJ's more than enough times that it just gets boring.

Knife Party was probably runner up for the 2nd best set of the weekend.

I was also disappointed Bingo Players had to cancel, but I know they'll be back.

On a side note, there was a band called Five Alarm Funk. Pretty cool band.
