Jake Gardiner

All I hear is now he's not happy with the Maple Leafs and doesn't want to be playing in the AHL anymore. That being said:

Could the Ducks (or should) go after he him? Do you think The Leafs would ship him out?

I would enjoy seeing him play for the Ducks.

Any thoughts?

Nah. Not that I don't think he's going to be a good player, it's just that he has no place on this team at the moment.

No.

But to explain more No.

But really, he won't be traded, this is just a bored angry fan base looking for reasons to fix the recent team skid. So no.

I'm not quite sure why we'd need a Fowler knock off. Albeit a good knock off, but I'm more interested in seeing what Lindholm can bring to this team.

Yeah you are right, and I think the Leaf's would be wainting a lot back in return.

Is there even anything concrete out there where Jake says he's not happy in TO?

All I've seen are these #freejake twitter things, which leads me to believe the fans want him up, not that Jake wants out.

Let's not be like Leaf fans who constantly told us Bobby wanted out, even though that wasn't the truth.

I know that his agent is not happy and also told the Leaf's that Jake is not happy.

And I don't believe anyone here is like Leaf fans!

If it's actually legit, I have no problem with it, but if it's just a bunch of rumors, we all know how annoying it is to be told a player wants out, when that's not necessarily the case.

I think it's just a touch of nonsense kicked up by the media in Toronto.

Toronto is just giving him some time to refine his game. People are making mountains out of molehills. Anyone who actually paid attention to him last season saw that while he moved the puck well, and had some nice offensive chances, his game was pretty one-dimensional. Carlyle probably doesn't want to feel like he has to shelter him everytime he's on the ice, the same way Boudreau, I'm sure, felt the same with Vatanen.

No Difference

If the Ducks managed to get him I think he would wind up in Norfolk since barring injury the Ducks d is set. So he would not be happy with the Ducks.

If Anaheim was trading for him, we'd probably be sending someone like Sbisa to Toronto. The Ducks are clearly not going to make that trade without the goal of bringing him up. Otherwise, there is just no need.
