yep

a team that doesnt work hard is not a good team. a player that doesnt want to do what it takes to win is not a good player.

It's called having vets between the ages of 25 and 30 who can play hockey, the Oilers haven't had any of those since 2006. Florida went out and signed/traded for a bunch of mediocre players around that age and made the playoffs for the first time in a decade despite being just as poor as Columbus is, never under-estimate the value of hungry in-their-prime vets.

The Oilers would probably be in the playoff race right now too if they didn't have unreliable and ineffective vets like Horcoff/Smyth/Hemsky still hanging around. The Oilers simply won't be competitive until tamblowe and co. figure that out and get off their ***** aquire some real NHL support players.

That or the extremely young core starts to hit an average age of 25, whichever comes first

The Avalanche are showing some pride after Giggy's little rant. 5 points back of the Oilers now...

Five points back with two more games played.

They aren't going to catch us.

They will unless Habby calls out the team for having no pride.

I didn't notice that. Still... nothing surprises me about the Oilers' failures anymore.

I don't think Montreal wants to play Toronto in the playoffs.

EDIT: 4 goals on 5 shots. That's pretty bad.

I'm amazed nobody here is talking about Dallas. They have a fire sale and continue to win.

In fact if they win today they're in 8th.

CBJ beat Minny. Well done to CBJ to continue to fight. Same with Dallas.

And good on Minnesota for continuing to slip out of the playoffs after their fans around here were crazy enough to put them on the same level as Chicago and Anaheim.

That's okay, they have two more games against the Oilers coming up. That should buoy them.

So I screwed up yesterday and somehow ended up on channel 888. Keenan was on some sort of show with Jim Van Horne and a couple other guys.

Any who Kennan was talking about how when he dealt Shanny it was because ownership told him to move him, Hull and MacInnis. Wouldn't that have been something if all 3 ended up being dealt, especially MacInnis. He was only there for one year at that time and had a lot of good years with STL.

Also mentioned that he was in the running for the Caps head coach job. Was a bit shocked as I thought he would've been done with the game. He did mention the only way he'll ever get a job is if someone he really knows gives him a shot.

Nice to see Columbus continue to battle for a spot.

Another win for them.

How much are the devils struggling?
They lost more games this spring then the blackhawks lost all season
Losing their 10th straight game today against toronto
Toronto had 12 shots on Brodour
Marty has not won a game since getting his 666th win
The 10th straight loss ties a franchise record
2-0 final today

Zajac 5.75m 8 years 15 points.

This could be the worst contract in the NHL right now.

Sketchy # for Brodeur. Anyways NJ is a ****ing joke. It's amazing to me they still even have a team. They were the biggest hoax of a SCF opponent/team in recent memory. That Zajac contract is ludicrous. And NJ fans were raving about it when he was signed saying no one had a clue as to how good or valuable a player he was/is.

He's a good defensive center.

gomez drury come to mind at how "good" of a defensive center they were also.

I laughed at how people had zajac in the same breath as kesler.

Kesler is absolutely putting on a clinic since he returned, I think he is over a PPG now lol

Be interesting to see when the Bruins/Senators makeup game will be played. I don't really see a spot in the schedule where they could slot in the game. Maybe April 24th but that would mean 3 straight game days for Boston. Maybe they'll wait and have the game after the season officially ends on April 27th.
