Knuckles Nilan will now host the new show "Off The Cuff" on TSN 690 on weekdays from 1-3 PM starting on Marth 18th. He'll also join Marinaro from noon to 1 (maybe he could make him shut up once and for all?...)
Gotta give Chris credit. He acquired his wisdom the hard way. Redemption makes for a good story and usually indicates depth of character. Plus, the guy actually has the chops to do radio. Who'd a thunk it?
Nice. Knuckles always had something interesting to say when he was on. It's going to be fun to have a great Habs on the show now. Can't wait to listen to his program.
I'm a frequent listener of TSN radio and I find Nilan to be likeable. But at the risk of sounding like an insensitive *******, I find it peculiar that someone with drug induced motor speech disorder is doing radio. Good for him though.

Considering the fact that 3 years ago Nilan was arrested for shoplifting a clothing store while wearing swim shorts where he also declared to the police "I just wanted to save a few bucks". I think he's made huge progress into bettering his image and his self-estime, I hope he does a good job at keeping his job especially with the CRTC hovering around.
I don't know what you all are talking about, this is horrible news. Just means he won't be in our starting roster for next season, so much for getting tougher
hopefully his show won't be short in existence, depends what happens in this legal fight.
For me.. I don't know if Chris Nilan is suited for an actual show of his own. He's better off as a co-host or keeping a segment.
Unless its really just a call-in show, I don't see how it will be creative or different... or anything else. It's not against what he's done in the past. He just doesn't seem like he can carry a show on his own.
I wish him the best of luck, hope he proves me wrong.

Agreed. Chris needs the support of a co-host who can drive the show. Why not pair him and Connor. I don't know how Silikas (sp) got a gig ahead of Connor, who is much more articulate and knowledgeable about sports. Does TSN 690 really have that many Greek and Italian listeners?

different than what? All the shows on there are pretty much the same except for the host.
My concern for him is in the summers, when there is far less hockey to talk about. Does he know the other sports well enough to make it through 2 hours on his own??
