Domi/Horvat/Gauthier/Mantha/Lazar all good targets.
Complete conjecture, but my official guess is that Ristolainen actually rises and goes top 10.

Teams love big, mobile two-way RH defensemen with untapped offensive potential.

What makes you say he wants to play in Toronto? I'm not questioning that statement, but I would love more prospects who grew up leafs fans. Do we have any, I think I read that Biggs grew up a leafs fan.

Finn, Percy, Rielly (or at least his dad is a huge Leaf fan), Leivo, Blacker.

There could be more, but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head.

I know this is '13 draft thread but a guy that is impressive for next year is Michael Dal Colle from the Gens, I have watched them twice this year and came away pretty impressed, especially since he is a '96. I know he is playing with biggs and jenner, but creates his own opportunities as well, bigger body too

Youtube embedding never works for me, but anyway, this is a video of the Biggs family watching the draft. You hear their hopeful speculation that the Leafs had just traded up to get him, and then at about 1:55 you get to see their reaction when it happens.

I agree, most teams have real a need for a guy like this....too bad for us he'd look so good with Rielly or Phaneuf.

Interesting mocks from an Eastern and Western conference scout:

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=6...d=nhl:topheads
http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=6...d=nhl:topheads

Thought it was notable that one scout ranked Dickinson 11 while the other chose to rank him at 30. Both seem high on Alexander Wennberg, he could be a big riser come draft day.

One had Nurse at 4, the other doesn't even have Monahan in his mock lol. Not sure how much I like these gurus...

Always interesting to see what a scout would say.

Based on those it seems like someone could reach on Nurse in the top 5. He is the kind of guy I can see someone falling in love with.

Pulock's around ~20 in both those mocks. I hope the Leafs get far into the playoffs, but realistically I think they will end up in the early-to-mid 20s. Hopefully Pulock is there

I'm mostly thinking forward, unless Ristolainen falls.

I know people are high on wennberg but maybe it's me after seeing majority of his game. I honestly think he'll be like one of the swedes to fall into the second round.

Too much upside for that IMO.

I'm just not set on some of the 20s forwards. Realistically, for where we are, I'd prefer:

1. Ristolainen (if he miraculously falls but I doubt it)
2. Mantha
3. Pulock
4. Lazar
5. Hagg
6. Gauthier
7. Zykov
8. Rychel
9. Horvat

Maybe. Lol.

You left out Domi. People underrating him big time. Him and Mantha have the most talent amongst forwards outside top 10 picks.

Who knows. I seem like eric karlsson (the center) from the ducks sort of.

Thanks dude that was awesome.
Except for his cousin saying he'd be on the first line immediately if drafted to Toronto. Grrrrrrrr

Wow a lot of differences on those drafts. We have to remember that when doubting each other on who we like. Teams have their own lists. I had to research who Klimchuck was, it's been so long since I've heard his name.

When I read the West scouts list, I came to 3 and assumed he was talking about Drouin, then scanned my eyes left and was stunned to see Nichuskin. I know he's talented but the most talented?

And to have Rasmus Ristolainen slide to 16? I doubt it. But these guys are supposed to be the best.....?

I swear to you that when I looked at this, he wasn't on that list haha. I'm not crazy...

It was the Eastern scout and he had the Flames taking Lindholm.
