Don't feel too bad man. I had a friend who once said Sidney Crosby wouldn't be any better than Mike Comrie. I like to bring it up with him often.

Kadri would be the first that comes to mind.
Huberdeau is doing better than I thought he would do
Jiri Tlustly is playing good too

I hated the Gudbranson pick. Didn't understand and maybe hasn't justified #3 overall, but he's been very good.

Still does need some more muscle, but the guy has already proven he has an elite shot and is a great goal scorer.
I thought he'd be too slow but hes getting bigger and stronger and faster every year to go along with his skillset. Hes better than a lot people thought he would be.

Didn't think Ekman-Larsson was going to be as good as he is, he gets my Norris vote.

Whoever the Coyotes pick in the 1st round. They always find their niche somehow. i knew OEL was a slam dunk though.

Not me personally, but I remember my dad telling me about how he was losing his **** at the TV when the devils traded down and Calgary took Trevor Kidd. Didn't think that Brodeur kid was gonna be worth two cents.

Pacioretty

Just 3 and a half years ago, I though he would be nothing more than a borderline NHLer.

So glad I was wrong.

I've gotten such satisfaction that I kept him around in my keeper pool (cap limit, but no roster limit)

To be fair, him and his 90 career points aren't exactly living up to a top 3 selection yet

Phil Kessel

Just for kicks I looked on his Wikipedia page, and his bantam stats were on there.

86 games played.. 286 points. Is that really true?! A hat trick per game.

Definitely could be. Tyler Benson has like 146 in 33 games this year

Huberdeau. I dunno..I guess I always caught unspectacular games from him just by bad luck, because he never looked like anything special to me in juniors, but he's been terrific so far this year for Florida.

When Anaheim drafted Bobby Ryan it was way outta left field and I think everyone was skeptical on him, especially given his past. We were all getting our Jack Johnson jerseys ready and I think we were disappointed originally... fortunately he lived up to his draft position IMO.

He did have a point about being weak on defence and needing a center. Kopitar or Staal would have been equally good picks.

I remember a lot of people, including me, wanted the Habs to pick Kopitar. I think the team would be as good as they are today if they had taken Kopitar.

I thought bogosian kinda sucked for a while, but he turned it around the past couple years. He's still got some room for growth, but he's much better than he had been

I thought Myers would be the second coming of Boris Valabik.
