Heatley vs Gaborik (1 for 1)

Heatley :

age : 32

Salary : 2012-2013 : 6.0 M 2013-2014 5.0 M

This season : 8g + 5a = 13 pts

Gaborik

age : 31

Salary : 2012-2013 7.5 M 2013-2014 7.5 M

This season : 8g + 9a = 17 pts

Both players play in RW. For me this is a win win situation for NY and Minesota.

My 2 cents

NO intrest from New York, if we trade Gabby were trading for prospects not an older player who has been worse than gaborik for the last 3 years.

Gaborik is much more valuable than Dany ****ing Heatley.

Gaborik is made of porcelain, and Heatley is an incredible sniper, I personally take Heatley before Gaborik...

If the Rangers are willing to take equal salary (or better cap, but somehow I don't think the Rangers care that much about saving a million or two) back, they can get a better player than Heatley. Where I see them running into trouble is offloading Gaborik for high value ELC players or prospects.

edit : let me answer, he was injured, but he played with that injury and this is why he was so bad

Injured Gaborik still managed to score 11p in 20g. Keep up the magic.

did you like how he was unable to battle along the board ?

I hated him during the series because of that, ( i didn't know that he was injured )

Gaborik has never been one to play well along the boards. That's not his style. Regardless, you claimed he was 'so bad' during the playoffs. 11p in 20g for an injured player is pretty damn impressive, actually.

What's more impressive, was Gaborik's willingness to play through the injury when his team needed him to step up. Doesn't sound like someone made of porcelain.

Heatley's coming off a 24 goal season. Gaborik? 41.

But yea, you take Heatley. The rest of the world that has taken the time to watch both players will gladly take Gaborik.

Keep up the magic

Gaborik is better than Heatley despite how bad he's been playing as of late. So no thanks.
