Good, he needs top-6 minutes and Bridgeport needs help.

You're asking the wrong question.

I wonder who is available on the waiver wire?

#BST plays on Tuesday. Ullstrom could be back after that, but hasn't been effective in and out of lineup. May stay there for a bit.

OK maybe just to get him minutes since we don't play until Thursday? Or maybe we see Nelson or Nino? Either way, he needs to get some minutes so this is a good move for him.

I think it's stupid to send him down for 1 game. He's gotta stay there for a while. Bring Niño up and watch him trip over the blue line on the forecheck.

They are going to bring up Nino and play him with Reasoner and Boulton from what I'm hearing

Exactly. This move is garbage to me. If you are bringing up someone young like Nino or Nelson to play, then you need to be giving them top 6 minutes, which requires a major shuffle of lines. Then the question begs why this wasn't done with Ullstrom in the lineup? So when someone like Nino comes up and plays 8 minutes a night and fails to produce a point over 2 weeks, we will be right back where we started: all questions, no answers. Half a year with Ullstrom and we still don't really know what we have -- except a kid with no confidence anymore.

Or are we just replacing Ullstrom with Boulton permanently? Which makes me want to puke.

They're not bringing anyone up. They have Aucoin and Boulton as extra forwards and not any real wiggle room for them. Unless there's an injury, no one is coming up to sit in the press box.

Well, Cappy's done about all he could to destroy Ullstrom's confidence; might as well send him down so coach can turn his full attention to Grabner!

I wouldn't be suprised if he comes back up by thursday, but wouldn't mind if he stays down for a stint...if he does stay down we have 1 extra roster spot.

any words on Joensuu or Carkner? I know Carkner is D but we did carry 8 D for the first few weeks of the season and that was before Vis got here. Last update I saw on Joensuu was 6 weeks ago and said he was out for another 5-7 weeks, but assume that does not include rehab so maybe it would be a lot longer than that.

what is the deal with Finley, Aucoin, Strait and Hickey... Are they allowed to be sent down or would they be subject to waivers?

Montador would definetly give us some size and a vet presence on D. How has he looked lately?

All of them have to clear waivers in order to be sent to Bridgeport. Strait is on the IR with his ankle injury.

Both. They'd have to clear waivers in order to be sent down.

They would have to be put on waivers, all except Strait. You can't send down an injured player.

They can't waive him unless he's cleared to play and deemed healthy.

Agreed. Maybe JJ is closer then we think but I expect Aucoin and Boulton to share Ullstrom's minutes.

Ullstrom was playing poorly of late. He deserved the demotion. So do many others on one way deals however.
