I'd like someone to prove that Player X is more streaky than Player Y (provided they score at relatively similar rates) over a large sample size.

Gaborik. He will have 5 goals in 2 games and then nothing for 9 games, then 5 goals in 3 games and then 2 over his next 14 games.

The Isles possess two very streaky scores in Moulson and Grabner. They get on fire for 5-10 games and then disappear off the score sheet (goal wise) for a couple of weeks

I would say Grabner. Can be on fire for five games then disappear for five.

This thread screams Gaborik.
He scored 8 goals this year, leading scorers of Rangers have 9 goals. He did it in 5 of his 26 games.
During 2011 almost a half of his 22 goals came in 3 games (3+3+4).

Expect anything from hattrick to 5 goal game soon.
Very soon.

If we played Colorado every game he would be a 50 goal scorer.
He'd probably outscore Stamkos if he played the Avs 82 games a year. Hell, he'd probably score 100.

He's been pretty terrible this year, but then he'll score 3 next week and we'll love him again.

Kovy is pretty streaky. When he's on he's insanely good but he's human he can have some cold streaks.

Almost all 25-30 goals scorer are streaky. They all goes on a good sequence were they score 7 in 10 games. Add to that a couple of two goals games out of nowhere and all is left is 14 to 19 goals in 70 games. And it's even worst if the guy has a second "on fire" sequence.

Stafford is streaky, can put up hattricks and many points in just some games and then completely disappear.

Don't actually know if he has been playing this season.

Patrik Berglund pretty much scores 15 points in 7 games then disappears for 10 games
