Knowing Detroit as well as I do, and as a non Detroit fan, I bet they are ticked they even had to go to Edmonton to play.... They do not take the Oil seriously.....

They're so stuck up and arrogant that they are actually ticked off about having to travel to a city which has an NHL team in their own conference to play hockey, the thing that earns them their paychecks?

I doubt that. Detroit it just having a rough season.

And Nashville just flat out sucks right now. They will likely put it together soon to finish just high enough to not get a very good draft pick.

How about some teams not getting up to play others on an equal basis....

I did embellish a tad....

I still think it's just a sign of Detroit's poor play as of late.

Sweet. Preds allow 13 goals in two games!

I forgot what it's like to draft high.

I think it's more than poor play, I think they have lost key players from the past... Without Datsuyk and Zetterberg the Wings are pedestrian...

I know they lost key players from the past. That leads to the aforementioned poor play

I read that it was "country night" in Calgary. Is that right? I know they handed out cowboy hats, and the ice girls were dressed like cowgirls.

"Country night" sure explains the cowboy motif

Western Night = free cowboy hat at the door.

Country night = free moonshine still at the door.

Petry felt bad for the awful Detroit offense and decided to help them out.

Tip for the Oil, ya gotta check the Wings or any team a lot harder when a game is on the line.... Jeepers, there are only a few games left in the Rexall Center, play harder...

No. They would just get another phantom penalty.

Penalties are a biotch no doubt... but in the end they should not decide a game...
