What I didn't want is a point for the Wings.... but they did earn it with their third period play....

The Edmonton club must play with more intensity and heart when in the lead, a 2 goal lead in the NHL does not equal a win.....

The refs aren't to blame for this getting to overtime. It's the Oilers play in the third period.

Damn. Pavel Datsyuk undresses the Oilers and wins it in OT.

Datsyuk carried the Wings tonight.

In the past 43 games between Det and Edm, Edmonton has won in regulation twice. Wow...

Wow.... three unanswered goals by the Wings.... IMO, the Oil quit playing after two periods....

Don't blame the Wings, blame the Oil head coach, just my take on the affair and I have no interest in either team....

The Wings can be beat if they are checked, checked and checked..... ya can't let Datsyuk and Zetterberg rule the ice....

Absolutely has to be coaching. Notice how the Oilers lines were shuffled around for the third despite dominating the first two.

Yakupov benched, veteran players getting time on top lines. Nothing but passive ******** and they piss the game away.

Piss poor officiating didn't help.

Just frustrating playing the Wings, every time. Phantom penalties for us, and nothing for them. I counted 3 picks/interferences on one of their PPs in the span of 20 seconds all go uncalled. Not saying the Oilers lost cause of the refs, just saying Wings took over the game in the 3rd in part due to the Oilers sitting back and in part to all their power-plays, which didn't allow the Oilers to push back.

You do realize they missed tons of calls on the Oilers? Like Hall's hold on Ericsson's stick that lead to the Gagner goal.

Hall should've gotten 2 minutes for physically dominating 2 Red Wings.

And Ericsson's hold on Hall? He was draped all over him as Hall was being a beast on the cycle.

Our coach sucks.

He plays to not lose instead of playing to win.
He will sit Yak for Smyth and sit on whatever lead. Every ****ing game. You think Babcock is bad? Hahah oh boy
Meet Coach Krueger

I know the NHL in general but not the Oil specifically, if what you say is correct the Oil must trust their young players... Young players will go all out in a close game because they haven't learned how to play to lose.....

If I was an Oil fan I would call out the head coach after this game, Edmonton should have won!!!

He's just a crappy coach period. He's afraid to go for the jugular when up and just wants to play not to lose. Smyth should be no where near the ice in 4 on 4 overtime, yet Kruger plays him like to go to guy.

I'm pretty sure everyone's been doing that for awhile now, haha. Trash coaching by Krueger.

If that's the case, then Datsyuk should've gotten a misconduct.

And as for the third period penalties, high-sticks and face-off violations are pretty much automatic.
